Warren Buffett says Berkshire sold all its airline stocks because of the coronavirus

o_Oo_O He just finished his first season of the new Star Trek Picard series and it was a huge hit.

Warren Buffett says Berkshire sold all its airline stocks because of the coronavirus

I think you have to add an exclamation mark also like "Hello?!"

Warren Buffett says Berkshire sold all its airline stocks because of the coronavirus

It doesn't matter. People buy and sell based on Kramers words and other shite analysts in the industry cratering stocks, you don't think they would for Buffet at an even greater rate? His company produces nothing but buying and selling stocks and is worth billions. His name and words carry weight.

Warren Buffett says Berkshire sold all its airline stocks because of the coronavirus

Oh I'm sure Boeing will be dragged down. Less need for new planes all across the board, and Buffets words will stain the entire industry.

Warren Buffett says Berkshire sold all its airline stocks because of the coronavirus

I'd find the airline with the best PR to date. American Airlines has had a slew of bad press the past couple years. Unsure where the rest rank.

Warren Buffett says Berkshire sold all its airline stocks because of the coronavirus

Was right about to post this article. Glad I didn't buy any airline stock. Have 2 friends who recently bought Boeing. I dont envy them. It being Buffet, there will undoubtedly be a lot of people following his lead come Monday.

Only dumb question is the one that goes unasked?

Wasn't into stocks, trading, investing pre-2008. During recessions and down cycles do oversold company stock prices meet analyst expectations or do they generally fall off a cliff with the entire market? Hard to really pose the question I'm trying to ask, and I understand this is a very general...

The DOW looks poised to drop momentarily, and the rest of the market with it. (Image)

At what point do you determine (within yourself) that an overextention of the top (or bottom) of the range of the BO you are fading is not a fake out but an actual BO? 1-2% over? Do you keep averaging in on these fake outs to increase your profits or do you wait for it to reign back into the...

The DOW looks poised to drop momentarily, and the rest of the market with it. (Image)

When I say "drop momentarily" I mean relative to the time frame in the chart, which is monthly. Also, TA is not an exact science, and I'm just giving my own perspective as the gentleman above did. It's just my opinion which is why I asked others thoughts on it.

The DOW looks poised to drop momentarily, and the rest of the market with it. (Image)

(Excuse the mobile image shot) Its currently triple topping on the monthly chart which coincides with a bearish divergence on the RSI. We're coming into the last week of the current monthly candle displayed and I think it will continue to finish out this candle strongly, but the signs point to...

    Bugsy's Sim Trades

Well I made my first profit today, but at a price. Everything was moving so quickly I panicked and sold at just above a 1:1 risk reward rather than the 1.5:1 to 2:1 R/R I should have. As you can see in the time stamps at the bottom right of the image, where I bought and sold the positions...

    Bugsy's Sim Trades

I stuck to my rules this time, but still lost with one caveat. I entered the trade where I circled the candlewhick at $119.79. I set my stop loss just above VWAP and a resistance at $120.17 which would yield a .3% loss. Sticking to my making at least 1.5:1 - 2:1 risk/ reward ratio would mean...

    Bugsy's Sim Trades

TradingSim has a feature that shows what stocks are moving big (up or down) at any given time on any given day as shown in the image above. I look for stocks between 5-15% price fluctuations to previous day close at market open (as you can see DGAZ and CLX are in the image), pull up their...

    Bugsy's Sim Trades

I messed this trade up pretty bad. Violated several of my own rules. My thinking in this trade is better shown on the 1 minute chart which shows the anomalies in greater distinction than the 5 minute chart. To start off let me state I have a bad habit of trying to catch falling (or rising)...

    Bugsy's Sim Trades

Having seen it's initial bounce and hold off VWAP in the first 20 minutes at just under $110 I set a limit order for $110, which was just above VWAP and had it filled about 5 minutes later. I violated my own rule placing the stop at $109.15, well beyond the VWAP, afraid of short term volatility...

    Bugsy's Sim Trades

Maybe opening myself up to flames with a sim trader journal but I don't care. Going to be a while to build my bankroll for daytrading because I'm putting the finishing touches on my emergency savings fund so I bought a subscription with SimTrader and have been practicing frequently since I...

Looking for a nice pop in the market on Monday after G20

The market probably cooked in optimistic talking points with no agreement. I doubt markets cooked in a truce of no more tariffs until at least 90 days from January with a promise of substantial goods to be bought by China. Thoughts?

How well does swing trading techniques on longer time frames correlate to intraday time frames?

This is a solid point. When I traded futures, even though crude oil may be running 23 hours a day on market days there is a huge difference between USA market hours and the rest...HUGE difference.

Is it ever correct to deviate from your pre-planned exit strategy?

I've seen many people say you should have your exit strategy planned before you ever make the trade. When you are at the tail end of a trade where your pre set exit is in sight and the candle is going long and looks like it has no plans on stopping, or the moving average is trending sharp and...
