    "The Day of the Lundy!!"

That almost sent shivers down my spine when he said that the market's too tough and that he didn't think he could pick any good stocks.:D What a bottom call!! He looked like he was about to cry!:p It reminded me of when those hedge funds closed in early 2000 because they lost so much...

Any thoughts on which company will replace WCOME in the Nasdaq 100? It should be delisted soon. Tony

    Black Monday? Bull Monday?

I completely agree. I'm also long over the weekend. I was wondering what would be your game plan if the market takes a big dive Monday before reversing? Would you just hold your longs, knowing that the market will reverse very soon? Would you add more at the lows? Don't get me wrong, I'm...

    Picking off Island traders

I don't regularly do it. But Monday had many opportunities in DIA. Several times during the day I was able to buy DIA thru Amex for 15-20 cents lower than ISLD's best bid. Of course every time this happened I'd quickly hit that ISLD bid. Usually there isn't enough of a spread between...

    trading movies

OK I know, this movie doesn't have any trading in it. It's actually about poker. However I've found several parallels to trading(discipline, keeping cool under pressure, tricks they do to manipulate the other players, etc). All in all I like this movie a lot and I don't play poker or any casino...

    crash

That's right! I remember earlier this year thinking the summer would be horrific based on how slow last summer was. So far it's been great!! Days like today sure do bring back memories of the good ole days. Volume and volatility. . . what more could you ask for?:D Tony

    Swingtrading Versus Daytrading Debate

I'd have to say swing trades bring the majority of my losses. But since my wins are usually 2-3 times my losses I still prefer swing trading. My daytrades are more like 1:1 risk/reward. Also, I almost hate to say it, but I rarely lose in either style. Tony

    Swingtrading Versus Daytrading Debate

I voted majority daytrades but I should note that the majority of my profits come from swingtrades. I definitely prefer to swingtrade but there are times when daytrading is the safer play. Also I may not get a swingtrade buy/sell signal for a few days sometimes. So daytrading supplements my...

    inca-book

I used to have an account with Hold Brothers. Their Graybox software has the INCA book integrated along with the other ECNs. Other than that all I know of is access to a bloomberg terminal to get the INCA book. However, I believe that is very expensive. Tony

    Stock traders almanac online?

Check out their website: http://www.stocktradersalmanac.com/ Check under archives to view their newsletter which has similar info to the book. The almanac is mostly statistics about how certain times of month/year are more profitable, etc. It also shows all important meetings, etc. on...

Who is the new (trading) millionare?

Yes it's possible and it looks like lots of people bought it yesterday. This is a cool link I check sometimes to see what the amateurs are doing.:p http://www.ameritradeindex.com/amtd.html I think the WCOME buy % was like 85% for Monday. I'm pretty sure these results only take into...

    Worldco financial troubles

This was written by Hitman on his site in response to this rumor. My understanding is our firm is trying to get out of the overnight business. Some of our traders are holding insane amount of positions via overnight's with relatively very little of their own capital on the line...

Day Traders--When did you all Start

I started "active-investing" in late '96 while a college freshman. I was 18 then. I started full-time trading in late '99 after dropping out of college. It was a tough decision but I was very $ucce$$ful in my 1st year and haven't looked back. Currently 24, my only regret is that I didn't start...

    Trading Journal - June

I like EBAY as a short here too, although I'm looking for a better entry probably tomorrow a.m. It is overbought on the daily but not yet on 5 min. I don't see much more upside before reversal to atleast 61 area. Just my 2 cents:) Tony
