    Video: Trader, Paul Tudor Jones

Did the video automatically start running for you guys when you clicked on the link, or did you have to enter a password and, or sign up and log in? With Google translating, I don't see a box to enter the password mentioned above, only a search box. Thanks.

Where did you enter the password, and how did you know to enter PTJ? Thanks.

I get a blank, black screen where the video would usually be, with no play button. The rest of the page appears normal, with links to other videos, search bar, etc. Suggestions?

Multi Monitors - 5/6 monitor setups - selection help

I know that many people are happy with monitors stacked vertically, but I have had trouble using this type of layout in the past: a sore neck and minor, but persistent headaches from tilting my head up to see the top monitors. The recomendations I found for an ergonomic setup were pretty...

    eoption.com

Thanks Def. I'm surprised that only 5% of orders are using Smart - does this refer to options orders alone, or options and equities?

    eoption.com

Two questions Def: 1. by "non-directed" are your referring to those options orders using smart routing? if so, i'm surprised so many of ib's clients direct the orders to a particular exchange since the commission to do so is relatively hefty at IB. 2. are your comments about order flow to...

    Source for ES Settlement Prices?

I've purchased intra-day data on the ES from several spots, e.g., Tickdata, and while it includes last trade prices, it does not include Settlement Prices as set by the CME each day. Does anyone know a source for settlement prices for the ES for current and past contracts? I know I can...

    Kelly sizing...

RV, Past and current issues of the IFTA Journal are available for free at their site, but I could not find your article in the 2010 issue. On your homepage it shows a date of 2010, but I suspect that was the date you wrote or submitted the article and that it will be published in the 2011...

PUT options liquidated at worst possible prices

Bob, The important thing is at what time did you place the order, and what was the best bid available at that time. If even a hundreth of a second earlier, there does not seem to be a problem with the fill. Brokers have a certain amount of time to report internalized trades, though I'm...

W.D. Gann Trading Technique finally being re - discovered

The op is trying to demonstrate the efficacy of his signals - he/she may or may not be successful in doing so, but why are you interested in how many contracts he/she trades, or how much money he/she made on previous signals?

    Consumer prices keep posting declines.

Regarding spouting off, from the Bureau of Labor Statistics: "Most importantly, none of the prominent legislated uses of the CPI excludes food and energy. Social security and federal retirement benefits are updated each year for inflation by the All Items CPI for Urban Wage Earners and...

PUT options liquidated at worst possible prices

When a CN$ based account (like the OP's) purchases a US$ denominated put spread, does IB: 1. automatically purchase and hold sufficient US$ to cover margin obligations until the position is liquidated, or do they 2. leave the cash in CN$ and monitor to ensure that sufficient US$ can be...

PUT options liquidated at worst possible prices

IBj, thank you for your post. When you have addressed the two areas in point 2 of your summary, please consider explaining the changes in detail to clients. The more we know about the systems and processes, the better we are able to manage our accounts, which in turn helps limit IB's exposure.

PUT options liquidated at worst possible prices

Unfortunately, that is precisely what the OP claims happened.

PUT options liquidated at worst possible prices

OP, thanks for posting the detailed info. If those were your only positions, the liquidation is troubling for IB clients, of which I am one. I hope this is resolved in your favor.

PUT options liquidated at worst possible prices

To understand what may have happened, the OP needs to answer the question asked several times: did he have any other positions whose margin requirements may have necessitated liquidation of the verticals?

    Nasdaq to Cancel Trades

Any word on options traded during the time period? Ghost's idea is interesting and I would prefer it for my trading - has it been considered by exchanges? Any idea is a compromise though, and I'm sure that any stops that were hit below the cutoff prefer the current remedy rather than having...
