I have to agree. 30yr futures moved almost a full 32 ticks at least 10 seconds before 7:30 CST, shortly followed by the 10yr and then the Bund. Very fishy.

You definitely should have been expecting some extreme volatility today if you were paying attention at all to what happened to fixed income after the econ data release an hour before the open in the S&Ps.

I think you have it backwards. When the yen goes up against the dollars, the BoJ steps in and sells yen/buys dollars. They then purchase treasuries with the dollars they have acquired.

I'm just guessing, but he's probably more or less filtering out and reading potentially market moving news throughout the day. It would be difficult for a trader to read all the various newswires all day while trading at the same time.

I know the eCBOT had a couple of delay issues last month when they first switched, but it was definitely not the eCBOT during those two occasions. I use X-trader and the feed was working fine on both those occasions.
