Are you man enough to complete my SPX chart?

I think we could test 1460 again, then rally to new highs in the 1560-1600 range by year end (max 1660). If 1460 fails, we will see 1400 again (max down would be 1363).

Here's a little recent history, looking at how well the 1st candle of the reaction held up through EOD and end of next day.

    e-mini simulations

The delay time is only part of it, but your fill price is the main issue. Remember, you need a move of 3 favorable ticks to book your first 1 tick gain on any trade (1 past fill on either end, plus your 1 tick profit).

who here had a tough day today ?

Made my 1st target, then lost it all, then made it back on a hail mary near the end of the day, and that is bad a way to trade. Poor risk management, taking profits too soon, etc. ... traded in a way that does not contribute to long-term success, and I could have just as easily gotten killed...

Cramer: "Why does everybody hate me?"

I didn't happen to read the article. Does he say anything about (or does anyone here know) whether he's restricted from frontrunning stocks he mentions on his show? Unless he is, his "advice" is purely promotion.

What trading style is better...slow and steady..or hitting homeruns once in a while?

As a scalper, I'm often envious of ppl who seem to have the knack for the buy and hold game due to its many advantages, but I've always found success easier in the shortest time frames. You make some good points and I'm curious what sort of stock screening methods you use for your small cap...

Watch a Newbie Blow his account

Maybe you should try doing the exact opposite of what your instincts tell you. Seriously though, I would stop right now and build up your chops on a simulator before you risk another dime. Or better yet, if you were doing so well in equities, why not go back to that? Stick with what you know.

    forum consensus on AMZN

While the AMZN bulls' exhuberance may propel it a bit higher still, I have to agree with BuyLo. Compare it with any other specialty retailer ... with a P/E of 80 (!!!) it's ridiculously overvalued at these levels. 63-65 range would be a great place to initiate a short position, IMO.
