    Am I missing something? Why would you want to trade an SSF on Q's when a very liquid contract on the Naz 100 already exists. Why not just trade NQ? You can get better tax treatment, more leverage and deep liquidity?

    "Education of a Speculator" - Niederhoffer I think this is a definite must read for this business. The chapter on horse racing probably influenced my trading style more than anything else I have read.

    Reminiscing on this idle Sunday afternoon.

    I remember the day the Naz crashed 600 points and rallied back in the same session. I had just graduated from college. I was working for a very experienced stockbroker/money manager. In the middle of the bloodbath, he looked at me(with a smile) and said "Welcome to your first crash".

    IB Margin change

    well said... IB requires 2k to trade futures. So what?...... They still will let you open an account with less than any other broker requires, and give you rock bottom commish with no volume quotas. For small traders this company is a godsend!

    I did not like the tape was acting towards the close either. With the noteable execption of Dell breaking out of its trading range on good volume. This could become a leadership stock stock for the naz again. The election will defintely be interesting. My only open positon, Miami-Green...
