    Okay. But what does open interest have to do with price discovery? Yes, there are more longer term players in the big contract. There is more slippage, so you have to be a longer term player. But again, what does open positions have to do with price discovery?

    Ytd Vol from CME website. ES 105,000,000 SP 22,000,000 Dollar volume appears to be almost dead even, by my math. Am I missing something?

    Do we really want to start screwing with the liquidity, in what could could turn out to be a long, secular Bear market? I just think that is BAD idea right now. I would like to get trading costs down too. But I sure as hell do not want to risk shooting myself in the foot to do it...
