    CNBC less professional these days?

That doesn't address the OP's original question regarding professionalism. Yes, CNBC is more entertaining and therefore probably more profitable. TV is all about entertainment/ratings, not professionalism.

Hilarious all the comments and flaming. The OP made one post and then never came back. LOL

Yes, very valuable. Learn correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation first.

    John Bogle

It's an INDEX fund, similar to ETF index. I think it is even passively managed. How can you expect a passively managed index fund to outperform an actively managed fund? Comparing apples/oranges.

    Investing Catechism

This doesn't make sense. A zero coupon bond only has one cash flow--payment of par at maturity (hence it's name "Zero Coupon"). You buy it at a premium or discount. Don't know what you're talking about cash flow(s).... BTW, I think this is what the original poster is alluding to. That...

Please help with my PC problem

Like someone else said, likely your HDD is not plugged in (came loose) that is the hal.dll error. If that doesn't fix it you can install XP in "repair" mode. Where it doesn't wipe the existing installation or data. Search "repair" XP on the internet.

    Windows 7 Question

Sorry to hear about your laptop stolen. Had the same thing happen to me, broke in my car and stole my laptop too. Learned my lesson about that. WIN7 is a good OS imo. I have had no issues with it. What brand/model laptop is that you're buying? It is nicely configured.

Win 7 64 bit first impressions

WIN7 64-bit better than Vista, better than XP. Faster, more secure, utilization of more memory. TWS, QT, NT all run okay. Agree with it messes with all your files because of its "security" is a problem.

Is this a decent computer for trading or can you recommend something better?

NT 6.5 runs on WIN7 64-bit fine here. All 32-bit programs can run on WIN7 64-bit in 32-bit emulation mode. Hope that makes sense. You can read about it here http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-windows7-vista64-support-32bit-applications.htm

    Market Depth

I see CME's statement. I'm wondering if anybody sees 10 deep in IB TWS for NQ or ES. I don't see 10 deep in TWS for NQ or ES. Thanks.

    Market Depth

Ok, I found this thread (http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=165517) which references this notice from the CME (http://www.cmegroup.com/tools-information/lookups/advisories/market-data/Q2009-098.html). The CME states that market depth for CME equity futures will be 10 deep...

    Market Depth

I use IB TWS and have always seen 5 bid/ask depth in market depth (book trader etc.). Now all of the sudden I see 10 bid/ask a side. Does anybody know what happened? Did the exchange change the rules or did IB? BTW, I'm looking at CL futures. Thanks.

    Ron Paul says it perfectly

How can it be that we all get it and congress and the American public don't? Or maybe the American public do (after all we are the American public) but just the politicians don't. And they never will until it slaps them in the face (I thought it just did)...
