How anticipated adjustment option will influence option positions?

Very risky to put on positions in the Jan 2019 + options (esp selling puts) because: 1) you don't know what the ratio will be (how many Dell shares) 2) You will end up long the new Dell stock (if you are short deep puts) which doesn't start trading until Dec 28th (I believe) This is why there...

    IB Down??

Yes. This is exactly what happened to me. As I said - I called and the CS desk and they also got disconnected and the issue was from the Connecticut servers. Most people are not on these servers but the website is also based out of there and they had issues with it as well. My server reset...

    IB Down??

you guys are too funny. For the record - I have been with IB since 1999. I'm aware of the server reset. I eventually called and they had a server down (in connecticut) that affected some customers. I'm glad I could entertain some of you.

NxCore data feed on QUODD is unusable

I'm in the same boat here (using NxCore for 14 years). I switched over to Quodd in September (big mistake). Nothing but problems in the last three months. They have 95% of what I require working on some level so I have had days where it has been acceptable. But I'm lucky if I have 3 out of 5...

    Trading Options in the 90's

LOL. Those retail pikers (ie competition) changed the market for the better. The market makers (and I was apart of the floor community) were crooks. ISE/RAES/PSE made the market makers honor their quotes (imagine that?). For these crooks it has always been about "not allowing customers to...

    Optionsellers.com out of business?

That is an interesting video. Not much ego left in this guy but take note of how he blames the result on a "rogue wave". This is why so many people fail (not just in trading). They are unable to be self critical of themselves (one of Buffett's rules).

    Optionsellers.com out of business?

simply put. Most people fail in this business and its because many don't do the work, they think they have found the holy grail (in this case selling options). If you continue to repeat the same stuff - the market will get you at some point. Just look at ET. Go back and look at some of the...
