PGFBest, anyone trade futures with them?

Their commissions seem very high, $6 flat round trip for everything, including E-Minis and even E-Micro CME FX contracts. Any thoughts on this broker?

the unsettling truth about this market

Of course there is an online website where you can "bet" on that. I believe it is legal if you give the proceeds to charity. http://www.intrade.com/

For US Citizens to trade FX throug non-US brokers you must be an accredited investor?

Well the broker I spoke with said you (a US citizen) can trade with a UK broker if you're not an accredited investor *if* that broker has a US presence that is NFA registered. FXCM fits that description, hence you're able to open an account with their UK division. However if you try a broker who...

For US Citizens to trade FX throug non-US brokers you must be an accredited investor?

I spoke to a UK FX broker today who claimed they only accept US customers if they meet the NFA's definition (actually the SEC) of an "Accredited Investor". I have never heard of this rule before. Is it true that the NFA has some kind of restriction in place barring US citizens from trading...

Equities might not have even started to go up yet

I didn't find that quote of his to be interesting, I found some of the other color of the rational somewhat interesting. Yes, if your point is that any ridiculous thing can happen, then yeah, markets are irrational, and there are plenty of powerful interests who need things to remain...

Equities might not have even started to go up yet

Compared to your gems of wisdom, which are what? That the markets are going higher with no end in sight?

Great link, with excellent additional color and arguments against this mirage we're witnessing.

The next BS catalyst the media/governement will use to bolster rally

Drudge is running with this headline: "NYT: HOLIDAY SHOPPING FINDS A LITTLE SPARKLE; BETTER THAN LAST YEAR... DEVELOPING..." We can be sure that the whoring media that works for the Dems will be pumping this story as if it is some kind of proof positive that everything is just oh so fine...

Why the markets didn't react to Senate passing healthcare bill?

And that is presuming The Won doesn't stack the court with more libs.

Every stock bear is now vaporized

S2007 is my favorite poster. I look forward to his doom and gloom pickings and occasionally try to outdo him, which I know is impossible. Look, what you're missing is that there are some more sophisticated ways to play the bear angle than shorting and long put options. I won't spell it all...

Why the markets didn't react to Senate passing healthcare bill?

True, but while the court wars wage on (for many years), Obama and his goons will collect taxes to "pay" for this crap. By the time these laws are dissected a significant economic effect will have been felt.

    Anyone ever heard of real-forex.com??

If a broker is registered with the NFA or FSA then you can go to those respective sites and see the records for the given broker. Same with brokers registered as banks in Swissland.

Why the markets didn't react to Senate passing healthcare bill?

Of course I'm not the only person here who can see it, but it had to be said to the person who obviously missed this fact, and thought the ramifications of this bill wouldn't be obvious for as long as a decade.

Why the markets didn't react to Senate passing healthcare bill?

Sure we will. There are draconian rules in this bill that impact us immediately in the form of taxes in order to pay for some of the future benefits that kick in in 2013. These taxes will have effects that will drive markets in the near term.

There is now a concerted message campaing coming from the WH on Spring unemployment.

Propaganda. The number of people in the US who are a) citizens and b) can't afford healthcare and don't have it is less than 15 million. We could give healthcare to those 15 million people with far less cost than this $1T+ unfunded bill, and without breaking the constitution and imposing...
