pro sports players do not diserve their salaries, they are not productive and only serve as a cause for the continuation of american couch potatoes. :D
2x nvs290 is fine. fx570 is pointless, thats for 3d cad work. your comment about the "not true dvi, split cable" is not a problem. the only difference is the wires are on the outside instead of embeded in the circuit board. the signal is the exact same
depends on the size of the monitors, 2x24" widescreen lcd ought to be enough for most trader's needs. I used a 8x20" setup few years ago and found it was way overkill, I never even looked at the 4 side monitors.
there's a crap load of equities firms out there, are there any that concentrate on futures? I don't care about salaries or training, I know how to trade.
I had a look on the chart, you have to get a fx570 to run 2x30" at 2560x1600 each. th fx370 only has 1 dual-link dvi and another standard dvi. the fx570 has 2 dual-link dvi
most cheap nvidia geforce cards like a 9500GT card will run 2x30" lcd at 2560x1600. at long as it has dual dvi. they can be bought for 100 bucks or less. Quadro is for 3d renders for CAD work, trading apps are 2d only and require no 3d acceleration.
