That was breakeven for the day. I would have felt like a fool if I hadn't taken that price. I needed it for my head more than anything. It also looked like they were testing the AM low.

Closed out the short for +4.8 points (Sold 801.4, Bought 796.6). That was breakeven for the day. Would have been a good day without the "happy fingers" first thing in the morning. May be done for the day while I digest the day. Had 7 trades and that much trading usually means a bad day.

I use constant range charts. 6 and 12 ticks. Some people call them Momentum Bars.

SAR at 801.40. +2.2 on long. Will have to review suggested changes to system after MC.

Still long from 799.20. Will consider a LT chart to filter trades. In essence, only in the direction of the LT trend.

Tough Start -6.0 points in the chop

Suggestions are welcome. Particularly as they relate to better exits or filtering out bad trades. What I would prefer NOT to have suggested is how adding multiple indicator layers or multiple timeframes with a zillion new rules would be just the ticket. Been there and done that.

I was playing with IB FX Trader this morning. I can launch the Trader, but no quotes are showing. I checked my data subscriptions on IB and am subscribed to forex quotes. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to activate the quotes in FX Trader?

Anyone here living in Fort Collins? I'm daytrading ER2 and would be interested in meeting up with local traders to talk shop.

Personally, I like 5 tick range charts on the ER2 with a volatility stop. Since range charts have a static ATR, the volatility stop is very smooth. The VS is set to Bars=15 and Multiplier=2.
