    TradeStation Global vs Interactive Brokers

Are you sure? I know IB themselves say you can not have two different accounts with them. (At least, not under the same name). Theoretically you could do one under someone else's name (partner), and log-in for them, but I did not mean to do that.

Suggestion For Brokerage Firm With Good Customer Service?

I might of, and you are still on my short list. But I am also very interested in finding a brokerage firm that deals with Fixed Income (which I believe your firm does not presently handle). I might be looking more towards 'traditional' Brokerage firms (as opposed to discount brokerage firms)?

Suggestion For Brokerage Firm With Good Customer Service?

Do they do US Equities? (Sorry, I should have mentioned this).

Suggestion For Brokerage Firm With Good Customer Service?

My requirements are *not* leverage or low brokerage commissions. But rather good customer service (i.e., e-mail or phone can immediately get through to a single individual who can answer all questions directly (rather than refer me to someone else) including back office requests (not necessary...

    TradeStation Global vs Interactive Brokers

Can you have an account with both TradeStation Global *AND* Interactive Brokers? Might be interesting to have both to compare platforms.

    TradeStation Global vs Interactive Brokers

Any concerns about having the front end taken care of by TradeStation, but having to go through InteractiveBrokers for all the back-office stuff?

    TradeStation Global vs Interactive Brokers

My understanding is that TradeStation Global (specifically) is an introducing broker to Interactive Brokers. They might have their own software, but apparently for account management and backoffice operations you go directly to Interative Brokers. So I'm curious: Why would someone opt for...

IB Showing massive P&L Loss -- Bad Math!

Yup. Fortunately I knew what was happening. I'm just not that impressed the math was wrong in this situation (which is due to a stock split), and should be easier to handle than half a combo being assigned. Hopefully no one worries. Just thought I'd post it in case someone was wondering what...

IB Showing massive P&L Loss -- Bad Math!

Due to the stock splits in TSLA & APPL, IB does not seem to handle the math well. It's seeing '2000' go to '400' (rounding here), and thinks you just lost 1600$/share. It fails to notice the quantity has gone up. Anyone know why it's doing this bad math? I only bring this up, as I recall a...

Shortest Time Between Stock Splits ?

I would hope they notice they have 5x as many shares. My other thought is that there will be this feeling that it 'should' go back up to 2000 'again', and they will drive it there fast.

Brokerage Firms With Personalized (human!) Customer Service?

Ah, they base priority on commissions rather than asset size. I'm not that active of a trader :)

Shortest Time Between Stock Splits ?

Not sure how I would find this out on my own, if anyone knows, please point me in the right direction. I had a funny thought the other day: TSLA is at 2k (at the time I start writing this, could be 2.3k by the time I finish). And they are planning a 5:1 split. Which would put them at 400...

TD Ameritrade - Singapore - Suggestions?

Oh, this is not an indication they are closing relationships with people who have accounts there?

Brokerage Firms With Personalized (human!) Customer Service?

Unfortunately no, you can not reach their back office, and you deal through a ticket system, so it's a bit anonymous and unaccountable there. (At least, as far as I know, maybe it's better for UHNW?)

Brokerage Firms With Personalized (human!) Customer Service?

In the modern age, any time you have a question that requires assistance from the back office, you usually have to go through a ticketing system, or a front-line CSR who will contact the back office then send you an update (e-mail or ticket). Are there any brokerage firms where you can pick up...

TD Ameritrade - Singapore - Suggestions?

Thank you for the update. Not sure if this is good or bad? I know Schwab is closing in Singapore. I wonder if this would mean the TD Ameritrade office in Singapore would also be closed? Wonder if there is another good broker I could try?

TD Ameritrade - Singapore - Suggestions?

Anyone know if TD Ameritrade - Singapore, is a good brokerage to work with? With regards to Customer Service, quality of service (connectivity, uptime, etc.), platform, ease of doing business (paper works, rules & regulations), etc. Or any other useful feedback? (I'm thinking of diversifying...

IB's Trader Workstation clunky and slow

I run TWS and Eikon Terminal at the same time on a Microsoft Surface GO 2 with 8GB of RAM. In addition to these I do run Excel (nothing huge on it), and Outlook. Nothing else. I notice no performance issues worth noting. I do NOT do on-the-tick trading or something that requires extremely...

    IB Quotes lag

Once in a while (even in the middle of the trading day) the price does not get updated for one of my tickers. I then click on it and suddenly it gets updated. A bit annoying when I'm trying to figure out why Eikon tells me one thing and IB tells me a very different thing. This tends to...

    Bye bye IB, hello Schwab

Why not just move half over? Run it for a month. If you save that much, you can move the rest. Beyond commissions, you do need to worry about execution time (will IB execute your order faster so you get it at the appropriate price, rather than wait so long with another broker that the price...
