I got long on open. Wearing a bit of heat at present. But I think you'll see the market bounce a bit on Friday as the smart money takes advantage of the fear. You might as well be long over the weekend because if the US defaults, all those numbers in your trading account no longer mean anything.

I don't think there is a limit on the number of trades but I'm not sure what instruments you can trade. There may be a limit on those.

The contest last 15 days. I think 6 to 8 weeks would be a better time period. If the market does nothing in those two weeks, it will make it pretty hard for longer term traders to be competitive.

People who enter won't be entering to win a grand. They'll be entering to walk away with the title of World Trading Champion. It does have a nice ring to it.

Well Thursday was an exciting ride. My models for the DAX and ESTX50 are still showing a lot of strength after close, so expect the momentum to be up for a few more trading days at least. Having said that, you want to be buying the pullbacks. Buying new highs will hurt you in this market...

Just closed out at 7294 on FDAX. My models for DAX and ESX50 are still quite bullish. May get long Friday again on a pullback.
