Which prop firms have the best training?

A reputable (no money down) prop firm is good for someone craving success. You're able to put on size quicker than your own account, the company is 100% liable financially, you get to say "i work at", you get to sit around other traders, you get training sometimes, you have an IT department...

How much commission you willing to pay for 5% per day

oskoptsev - You are obviously a fraud. You're copying Kim Schmitz's idea with Trendax (www.trendax.com) - Having a "computer scenario brain" kind of thing. Your website is unprofessional, you don't know what you're talking about, you should be banned so you are less able to take advantage...

    Building a bankroll, poker style

Here's your answer: Starting with a small amount and compounding your winnings is definantly feasible and has been done. Beware that it's not the easiest route though. The key is to start off winning, meaning sitting there watching watching watching watching until you find a really high...

So Refco prop traders no longer use XTrader?

Hmm looks very similar to Xtrader. The reason I ask this is that in Sydney we only really have two prop trading firms. Transmarket and Refco. I'm hoping to go work at Refco because they're more focused on directional trading (TMG is more into spreads). Can anyone tell me: If I'm...

    How small can one trade?

I believe you'll be hard pressed to find something which needs a $50 margin. Maybe look at fake-future CFDS, www.igmarkets.com. They have mini futures for example: Australian index SPI200 (futures margin = $2250 AUD/$25 per point) Mini CFD - Margin = $300, $5 per point...

ECNs, Arbitrage oppurtunities, new SEC trade-thru rule

My thoughts. If cost of doing business (comission) won't allow you to take advantage of the opportunity (as costs overrun opportunity) - then it's not arbitrage at all. Institutions have a concept with arbitrage, it must be a wide enough margin, for it to be worthwhile/truly probable.

    MARK FISHER ... a class act ...

I saw Mark Fisher's speech on the NYMEX website. Seems like a genuine and charismatic good guy. I like the fact that he's obviously wealthy (due to owning MBF clearing etc), but he doesn't care to dress flashy, no jewlery etc.

Damn... Refco management can't be stupid, they have to be able to put something in (software) to compete in quality with TT?

    Macfutures rumours

LRD, is it really necessary that you stay shut about this rumour? I simply think that you're just causing stress for the traders at the mentioned offices.

    Macfutures rumours

I would've thought that all Refco's offices would have a complete set out risk management plan. What was Chicago doing in terms of risk (potential) problems?
