IB's automatic roll seems to happen a day or so before the volume actually shifts. So imo the heads up is nice, but I need to shift the contract and charts manually for trading purposes.

96.31 LOD. I have a Quotetracker tick chart that only shows 96.65 as the low, but IB says 96.31. Add: I just checked, and the QT time-based charts only show .65 LOD as well.

Interesting analysis NoD. Bottom line for me on days like this is ... nothing in the middle works (unlike on classic trend days where you have to jump on early pullbacks ... which was deadly today). My best shot on these tight range days is to wait for a slight pause at key levels and jump in...

3 consecutive unfilled gaps is actually not that rare. Happened 3 seperate times in July. There was even a stretch in early March with 5 days of no gap fills, technically (in ES). Edit: sorry, meant to say *3 separate times over June and July.
