serious post- how many have Enlarged Prostates ?

I need to make a correction of this. I just learned that my father did not have the TURP done, rather it was the "green light pvp" procedure, which is apparently less invasive but also less effective (benefits don't last as long as with TURP). Thanks to riddler for sparking the conversation that...

Also keeps the PSA down supposedly. (It stays elevated for 24 hrs afterward, I once heard).

How Many Hours Do You Sleep A Night?

What has your research turned up as the very most nutritious greens? I'm always overwhelmed by the myriad of choices at this great local produce store, but some of the stuff there I've never even heard of, or heard of and never considered trying. .. TIA

Anybody have any historical numbers off the top of their head as to what -% NQ = GOOG -10%?

I'd be surprised if YM didn't get to 13530-35 today. I wouldn't feel comfortable shorting 'til then.

    I believe we'll see 67-77 before 37 (unfilled gap @ 35.50). At least 61-62 first.

    Jap candlestick pattern term?

Don't know whether these are the proper candlestick terms but #1 is "mirror" bars, #2 is "outside bar" (or "engulfing", either bullish or bearish depending on direction). Add: on #1, they almost have to be opposite in color because a bar's close is almost always within a tick or 2 of the next...

How Many Hours Do You Sleep A Night?

For instant gratification ( )try Bloomberg TV. Futures are on the screen 24/7, including during commercials. I usually check prices before I even get out of bed. To the original question, I usually get about 5-7 hours. It's not for lack of tiredness or worrying too much ... basically...

We have a glaring H&S on the hourly if it triggers. They're kinda drawing out this right shoulder though, I guess to create some suspense.

Is this what the market has come to?

Not to sound like a know-it-all, but yesterday was a trend day and today is rangebound (so far). Pretty classic pattern over the years I've been trading. 5.50 range ... not great but decent for this time of day, and I guarantee it'll expand from here. :)

Can you bracket the current price- like this?

If you're that concerned I would ask your broker about it. If they say you will run into problems with what you're trying to do, I would switch platforms. It should be able to automatically figure out how to execute orders based on your net positions, period.

Can you bracket the current price- like this?

Should be the same for futures as anything else. If it can be done through a major broker like IB I doubt very much it would be a violation of any exchange rules. Unless I misunderstood the scenario you suggested, I don't see how it's anything but normal range-type trading/scalping. I don't...

Can you bracket the current price- like this?

It depends on how stupid your platform is. With IB (Interactive Brokers), you don't specify whether sell orders are sell short or sell to close ... it just does whatever the logical thing is based on your position(s) [long/short/flat] at the time the limit is hit. So what you described would be...

    Question for TA Experts

Classic TA would dictate you go with the trend, so yes it is a bull flag until proven otherwise. But entry now would be late ... the time to enter would've been the breakout of the small red ema-touch bar. So now you do nothing unless 31.00 breaks down or 76 breaks out and the subsequent...

    what are the odds?

Maybe you got picked off for a reason, or maybe it was just bad luck. Chances are your entry was a somewhat popular entry point, and those are often re-tested after an initial favorable run. IMO don't stop using stops ... it's the only way I know of to keep losses small, and you can't win every...

    Need Advice on Cancer remedies

I recently saw a PBS pledge drive featuring a (staged) seminar by an oncologist named Dr. David Agus, who has a book out called "The End of Illness" (Amazon, paperback $10.xx). Anyone else catch it or know of the book? It's supposedly loaded with data and guidelines for avoiding disease in...

    Need Advice on Cancer remedies

Would you agree that sugar (all forms) is not far behind? I believe they've established a link between insulin and increased levels of growth hormone, which is potent fuel for tumor cells. Not that it's particularly relevant for the OP here, but on the "10-yrs" issue, I'm a little skeptical...

serious post- how many have Enlarged Prostates ?

Thanks for the link. Guess I should've looked into it before opening my mouth. Certainly not as promising as what I had imagined, but at least it's another option. My dad (86) had the TURP procedure about 6-7 years ago and says he's pretty much in need of another one already. Aging is...
