    to ticket charge or not..

It depends on the spread they show and what they are charging. I am not familiar with their price structure. You are always paying a commission in FX. Some shops just have it built in to their spreads. Whats the difference between a 3 pip spread with 1/3-1/2 pip commission/ticket charge and...

    Newbie Forex Q's

The way around all the shenanigans is to deal with a broker who does not run a trading desk and deals on a stp (straight through process) basis. You deal with their liquidity provider (bank) and you pay a commission to do so. As an ex interbank dealer I prefer it this way. Its clean, and I...

Forex, the most liquid market around???

Don't trust the volume figures given by Esignal, etc. Interbank volumes are never reported. I was an interbank dealer for 16 years and never once did we report volumes to anyone. Years ago the Japanese voice brokers would report their volumes to the BOJ but never anything like that anywhere else.

    Execution time

I have found the executions at hotspot to be excellent. I have said it before, but as an ex interbank dealer it is the closest thing both functionality and spreadwise to a true interbank platform. The execution is instantaneous just like EBS and they tell me they are adding a couple more banks...

Hotspot provides at least 1 running rate in 10 mio all the time 3 pips euro and jpy (I have seen jpy 2 pips in european time zone) and 4 pips cable and chf. These prices are provided by an interbank partner of theirs and I hear they are adding another partner to their site very soon. The...

    Forex auto-ex?

Never traded futures for myself, but I used to trade on the IMM when I was working in the interbank market. We used to arb against the spot price because sometimes there were big price differentials especially after numbers. I am curious about it now but its going to take a little more...

    Forex auto-ex?

I'm not sure what you expect from spot FX, but as a 16 year interbank trader I can safely say that there is always a spread. And that is for someone dealing in a minimum of 2mio units. I read posts on other boards of people complaining about 3 pips etc and looking for 1-2 pt spreads and these...

    Forex auto-ex?

I trade with hotspot for one reason only..because you ARE dealing directly with the spot market. As far as I know they are the only broker who doesn't run a trading desk...
