closing factories would be more worrisome to the Chinese than the US debt.... social unrest is the #1 threat to China. nothing under the govt shield is getting closed, but until the stimulus it looked pretty grim.

a buddy of mine takes trips to guangzhou and all over pearl river delta monthly. he covers small caps in hk, up until the stimulus package that area was absolutely dead, now businesses that should be bankrupt are up and running again.

Marc Faber lost money for his clients last year even though he supposedly predicted the meltdown. Hes not in HK anymore, must be working on new unburned cient base in Singapore. Might be a great analyst but certainly not a trader.
