Today was the first time in three years I watched CNBC, only to see them hype IMCLONE (which I was not short) and the whole market take off.... It reminded me of the bubble days, and made me wonder how they've steared clear of the fraud charges, because clearly CNBC is one of the bigtime...

Is CNBC compensated for their support of the financial markets? Obviously CNBC has an interest in seeing the market move higher, as does the Federal Reserve and those in power. CNBC provides them with the means to jawbone the market higher. Someday when this financial ponzi scheme collapses...

I haven't given much time to SSF because of the lousy volume. How does buying/selling SSFs help me here? Thanks in advance!

Why don't they have bullets like other trading firms?

I know the retail firms were against the PDT rules, but what have they done to fight them since Sept 2001? Ameritrade was allowing it's customers to trade from cash accounts, but that doesn't necessarily mean they were 'taking a stand' as much as it means they were trying to make money. What...

Does anyone know if IB or Datek or Ameritrade or ETrade or any of the other retail firms are pushing for a repeal of the PDT rules? Is there any sort of special interest group :) who is lobbying for an end to these ridiculous rules?

I have roughly 30,000 in my IB stock margin account. I actively trade stocks, 5 round-trips a day at least. If my account were to fall below 25K would it be 'frozen' for 90 days?

Does anyone here use Powerview or Depthview? If so, who is your quote provider? Is it possible to get Powerview or Depthview Level II quotes using MedVed Quotetracker and IB? Does anyone here think the new Depthview/Powerview Level II quotes setup adds value to their trading?

In addition to Level II quotes, doesn't anyone here use Depthview or Powerview to get more information about the depth of the market in a stock?

You know, the upgrade the Nasdaq did last year, Depthview, Powerview, to its level II quotes.....

You said IB offers it no charge? Where? I see they offer Level II for $79, but they don't say whether that includes depthview.....thanks in advance for any further help!!

I use nextrend, but I don't have level II (and don't want it)...I just want Depthview by itself....who offers that?

Where can I simply buy access to Depthview and nothing else (no charting, no time and sales etc)? Just depthview.....
