GBP is finding gains "not so easy" although EUR is trying....

This should be very interesting - if no follow through then a very good opportunity to sell considering it has broke the triangle. I've shorted with tight stops - although watching VERY VERY carefully...

Makes alot of sense. Something I am also guilty of at times -"overtrading" - when I find I'm losing/"spinning my wheels" it is inevitably as a result of this. Also, I'm very similar in managing losing periods - if things go bad - cut position size until confidence returns... there was that...

Well said - thats something else I would miss - the interaction with other people. These forums are great although quite impersonal - loneliness would definitely get to me.

Yeah - as long as I make the deadlines - everybody is happy. That's what I'm scared off - my mind will be my worst enemy - I think too much focus will be counter-productive - one needs quick decisions and too much thought process causes hesitation. Maybe Lon Eagle with 15 years of doing...

I'm in the pretty fortunate position where I can do both - so far so good. One does not really interfere with the other although it can be exhausting and I sleep well at night generally. I also find its good to have another focus - otherwise one can easily baby-sit those positions way too...

Have you considered not trading full-time - rather get a job which allows you to sit behind a PC and watch prices/trade when opportunities arise. This takes the stress away from having to make money to pay bills etc. Plus your capital can grow - no withdrawals required to pay bills and the like...

Yeah the more convinced the market gets that the range is in play the more confidently they'll act right up until the range itself. Its quite possible that is gets sold aggressively now all the way down to bottom of the range. Probably not today though:D

Yup I remember you saying you were shorting overnight - hard luck although having an open position before the news is risky... I would have done the same EUR en route to 20 again?? - seems like serious deja vu

Thanks for this - I'll digest it carefully. Something that stands out - good relationship with your Broker - instead of seeing them as the enemy rather come to a mutual beneficial relationship - if they have a problem with the way you trade - try and sort out a win-win situation - I think...

38Fib is at 7908 for move from 77 to 80 My trading is quite similar - I find probabilities the best this way. Thanks for clarifying what's important in the GBP numbers

Yes 2.7% - you should try Bloomberg radio - a bit delayed although not bad. Are we the only FX Traders on ET??

If 7905 breaks then next 7870 - lets see. Seems like the market is more interested in the Industrial Prod figures later. I suppose USD is the common denominator re GBPUSD link to USDCHF - don't follow USDCHF Pray tell share your way... of beating OANDA at their own game - although I...
