    MGEX Agricultural Index Contracts.

I don't personally have tick data for HRS contract, as I don't keep tick data on any wheat contracts. I have gotten tick data for corn and beans though from CQG....if you need historical tick by tick thats who I would contact.

Minimum requirements on the back of the BOX

do you have to be smart? yes and no....you have to be "market smart", but that has absolutely NOTHING to do with being "book smart"...ala...a high IQ. I for instance, only went to college one year, then dropped out because it just didn't spark any interest or desire....the markets on the other...

    Broker for Spreading

Depending on what add-ons you include as far as new services...yes, you can get all of that data via DTN or CQG. Cost just depends on what exchanges/add-ons you get for either.

    Broker for Spreading

I have used both DTN ProphetX and CQG, and both are the best imo as far as a total package for commodities. DTN is a couple hundred bucks cheaper when you factor in everything, and so far for me has been just as reliable as far as everything goes, all the way down to intra-day tick data, so I'd...

Lean hog last day of trade versus settlement

The settlement is based on a 2 day cash average. Here is the explanation from CME. Scroll to second page, rule 15203.A: http://www.cmegroup.com/rulebook/CME/II/150/152/152.pdf You can get the Lean Hog Index price off the CME site, or any newssource such as DJ Ag Wire. Feeder cattle...

    Broker for Spreading

for charts you'll probably want to get a software package, as opposed to anything the brokers could provide. I think ADMIS is the only broker that even has their own software that supports charting of ag spreads (both exchange recognized and custom). Look at DTN, CQG, etc. What type of...

    Wheat outlook

we should start seeing at least a short term pop in all 3 wheats as we start gettting through the spring wheat harvest. As is typical though, I'd expect the KC board to outperform either Chicago or Mnpls, and Mnpls to outperform Chi. I'm also liking any of the wheat markets spread against...

    MGEX Agricultural Index Contracts.

I don't think this argument is necessarily applicable to the ag markets....using your same reasoning about location specifics, then the actual traded price of corn/wheat/bean futures is all a farce....simply because very few locations are par bid on the corn price. Not only is there...

    X-Trader Brokers

Has CQG come out with an auto spreader yet? I've tried their CQG Trader via the CQG IC, but didn't think they had an auto spread feature just yet.

    MGEX Agricultural Index Contracts.

reminds me of the old CME fertilizer contracts....great idea, but when your people (local traders) shun it, it ain't going anywhere

    Exchange membership

if you were doing all 1000 (I'm assuming 700 futs + 300opts, correct me if I'm wrong) all on one exchange, then I'd say definitely look into it. However you are only doing half that at each (some at CME some @ ICE)...and I'm not so sure that you'd save enough to be worth the hassle. (taxes...

What to do with cash from short options on futures?

depends on your broker/FCM. Some of them these days require more than others (and more than exchange) for short options positions. As far as cash balance left over, just call them to see if they offer a way to put them into a t-bill or something. Some of the private brokers pay around a...
