Anyone notice Lumber @ 2 1/2 yr high?

Lumber Futures....LBH0 or @LBSH0 for current contract. Cash prices can be found via Random Lengths: www.randomlengths.com Lumber futures are a bit thin...but once you get the hang of how the handful of locals trade it down there, it can be done. Its not a "scary" market to trade like a...

Commodities source of info & analsysi???

depends on the commodity(s) you want to track. DTN is the best source imo for a "one stop shop" that combines info from a lot of sources regarding all commodities, and specializing in the ag mkts. Obviously, if you are talking energies, there are much better specialized sources, ICAP, etc...

    Ag futures/options broker

yea...about the only reason to go to the pits for options even these days is for large lot orders (>100) or if you are trading the softs or meats...although even livestock options are slowly migrating to the screen...and that volume split right now has hurt them recently imo.

    Ag futures/options broker

which options are you trading? I would recommend different brokers, depending on if you are trading grain or soft or livestock options. You might also PM Heech, as I know he went through a very long process finding an adequate options broker for the ag markets.

    Hogs spreads

I would disagree...it all depends on your style, and how you like to trade. I find livestock spreads to be the easiest to trade, from two points of view. A.) The Scalper: if you want good trendy movement intra-day, go to hog spreads. If you want slower but more steady order flow, go to...

    Cts T4

Maybe its the deal I have...I've been a user for a while, and mine is capped lower...but nevertheless.... I'd talk to Tim Dare if you have any questions about market access. I just trade livestock and grain products, so thats really all I know about. Just scrolling through the contract list...

    Cts T4

I use it, great platform. Its got everything including the implied spreads. cost is $.50 per contract, capped at $250 per month. I clear through Advantage Futures. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't calculate overnight margin on inter-market spreads correctly, so if...

Does anyone here know somebody that trades for an index fund?

you had it right when you realized that nobody "in the know" on this sort of thing will give up any info. Having said that, you really need to be more specific. Do most of the funds trade in the same type of "style"...yes and no. In each ag market (grains, softs, meats) you have some that...

really worth it to trade same year Corn spread?

first stocks, then forex, then financial futures, then energy, now ag spreads?? time for a different job increase.... btw...if you want to trade for ZERO margin...yes $0.00....take all of your big BANG profits (haha) and buy a seat at the KC board. Floor trader margin on same year calendar...

    Broker that offers future options

literally any broker who offers futures. Advantage Futures and Cunningham are who I use and recommend. Platforms differ for futures options though, ORC is good, CME's platform is ok, but I haven't really been in the futures options realm ever, just the futures, so I'm not the best one to...

Looking for a good futures broker

I don't know the symbol for the DAX, as it will depend on the platform you use....plus I just trade the livestock and grain markets... I get an extremely low rate at both brokers (have a spec account at one and a hedge account at the other), but I also do around 200 R/T's per day. Not sure...

Looking for a good futures broker

Advantage Futures or Cunningham Clearing...hands down the best two out there.

    Broker that offers future options

list just one?????? 99.99% of actual "futures" brokers (those who specialize in futures) offer futures options.... The only caveat is that most futures platforms do not support options...most futures options platforms are a completely different platform.

    Welcome new Ag traders!

Actually not a bad recommendation...I know of more than one guy that is a top notch trader and was trained at Cargill. Long long road to get worked up that far there though...

Trading 2 Soymeal Vs 12 Wheat-Lean Hogs spread

cattle crush is simply a ratio spread simulating feeding cattle on paper. Buy 2 feeders, sell 3 fats 4 months out, and buy 1 corn in the middle. Thats the simple version....once you see some of the nuances of cattle feeding/seasonals/spread price discrepancies, you'll weight it / trade it...
