    Warren Buffett's interview on CNBC..

I think he will purchase a carve-out or spinoff of some sort. Something that does not have a clear value, not publicly valued, that he can purchase without other bidders. That was funny how the Fast Money crew was trying to game his next target. Please! Like the Buff would ever buy WLP...

    Warren Buffett's interview on CNBC..

This "large acquisition" talk from Buffet is quite a departure. First off, everyone and their brother has been doing large acquisitions over the past two years. you would think Buffett would have been first to the mega-buyout party, not last. Second, U.S. valuations are completely out of line...

    Teach your self on simulators

I'm not big on papertrading either, as i prefer to trade in 1 lots instead. Think or Swim has a pretty good simulator, though, if options are your thing. The only problem is the simulator fills you at the mid point every time.

    Margin vs. options time decay

Options can only be purchased with cash, so no buying options on margin. I believe this is an SEC reg. Of course, if you have a portfolio of stocks, you can margin against them and hold the options in cash.

    Wow, fade this opening..

What makes you say that? Today was one of my best days! Do you think I just shorted at the open and sat on my hands for the rest of the day, blindly holding into the close?! Get real! I was flat by lunch.

CNBC woes - am I alone in my anger?

I have DirecTV where I get Bloomberg, CNBC, and CNBC World. CNBC makes me want to jump out a window these days, so i feel your pain! Bloomberg is so much more tolerable. I really like CNBC World, it is not so sensationalized like you mentioned. Plus, I think I am developing a little crush on...

    Wow, fade this opening..

You are absolutely correct, and I do not base my trading on the VIX alone. However, when it reaches extreme conditions, it can be quite predictive. The fact that it gapped down huge and is now positive is good indication this rally has weak legs, in my opinion.

    Wow, fade this opening..

Look at the VIX power back - eventually the DOW will break below 12,920 and hopefully soon they will quit showing those stupid "DOW xxx points above record close" banners on CNBC.
