    Social Security Denial

Even those who've contributed to SS for 20 yrs, IF they then work for a School Dist, have their SS retirement reduced by around 70%.

    The market cannot defeat you

It took me 53 years to figure that out, and 2 more to figure out how to implement it. And HatetheRisk's words ring SO true... "Once you're there, there is no market to defeat, you just trade what the market tells you - go with the flow."

    Social Security Denial

Here in Texas, our School Dist's don't pay into SS. Which means if all you've ever done is teach, you don't get SS when you retire. Here's what's bugging me: If you come into the School Dist from a job that pays into SS, thinking you'll work a few years and get 2 retirement checks, you won't...

What happens when you try to game the system

Reminds me of the Viaticals biz of a few years ago where HIV sufferers could get some handy cash with which to buy medications (probably mostly Morphine) and pay the rent whilst they died. Interesting court precedent.

I have done the unthinkable...but hear me out

LOL...Americans don't know how to riot...THAT was FUNNY! Some would say they might learn, and fast. I hope not. Thanks for the morning laugh! (Not laughing at you, just found the observation hilarious...usually in great truth is great humor.)

    Diesel

Due to their reliability, I don't know why more folk don't buy Diesel cars/trucks, other than the noise.

What antivirus program you guys use to protect your trading computers?

I have 2 laptops. One's for emails, ET, web surfing, and music, the other is for trading. Period. The 2 computers are NOT networked in case one gets a virus. AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials protect both.

    Finding the Holy Grail

I've got it, and I"m learning how to trade it. I'm getting better at it every day, and I"m very appreciative for that. It's never the method/system, it's always ME. Never ME against anyone or anything, always just ME. It's not even ME against ME. It all comes down to what you believe you...

Some questions about futures day trading.

Call a Futures Broker, set up an appt, and ask them your questions. I trade Futures, and there's no difference between going Long or Short. My Margin requirements don't change. Again, call a real Futures Broker and ask them all your questions, they'll be happy to help.

12.5bn British Pound hole in UK public finances...

I've often thought the same....however there remains a pertinent question for the future. I view politics as a pendulum, it swings one way, then the other..if politics/economics swings the pendulum WAY too far one way, what happens when their grip slips?

    The Prometheus Factor

I think it was in dailymail.co.uk, but 2 VERY prominent British Physicists are working towards cold fusion, and said it would be about 18 months before a working model was 'online'. They said they could light London for a year on 10K litres of seawater. Amazing.

    Bloomberg warns US jobless riots

The problem is, if the economy ever picks up again, employers would have to deal with the correction officers union to get workers released. LOL...sadly that's EXACTLY how they think, but it's still hilarious!

    Get a generator...

I'm planning on getting exactly that to power the house in case of a storm or Bubba running his truck into a power pole. Cost is going to be about $4K installed, so not too bad. Here in SE TX we gotta have A/C !!

    silva mind method

The best thing I've ever read or heard is Rhonda Byrne's "The Power". Silva might be kewl, I've read snippets of the whole pgrm, it was ok, and certainly a start of a new "conversation" on living a better life. Rhonda did "The Secret", and it was a good start for me, but her CD "The Power" was...

It all started last summer, when Assistant Editor Maria Masters came across a shocking study in the Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise (one of dozens of research journals we comb each month as we put together the magazine). Scientists at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in...
