    Integrating News Into Automated Trading

I just ran across this today. Kind of fits, but on a much larger/smarter scale. Neal Goldman is a math entrepreneur. He works on Wall Street, where numbers rule. But he's focusing his analytic tools on a different realm altogether: the world of words. Goldman's startup, Inform...

    I HATE the new CNBC!

Yeah, I really don't care. This is getting stupid. "Michael Eisner, former chief of the Walt Disney Co., will become host of his own CNBC interview program that will be seen once every two months, the network said Tuesday."...

Record Keeping software for traders needed!

Seriously? Have you looked at the webpage? Frontpage 4.0 - and it looks like it. "New! - We are now shipping our ALL NEW 32 bit WINDOWS VERSION!" *New*, Really! This is a joke right? You can't even download the program. Looks like snail mail only.

Record Keeping software for traders needed!

Oddly, the whois lookup produces some one with the last name of Geringer. :-) BTW, that's a pretty creative LLC name. :D

    Successful Automation?

Hi Rufus, Can you explain what you mean by "I have kept track of". How do you keep track of them, is there a resource I'm not aware of? or - I think we've discussed that you used to code systems for others - so is that what you mean? ie. as a developer you were responsible to babysit your...

    My next motherboard

Not to be a downer, but I've read that M$ rushed VS 2005 out the door and it's apparently riddled with bugs. The PM for VS has a blog entry somewhere admitting that they are already working on SP1 because of the problems. That's suppose to arrive before the middle of 2006. I've got the MSDN...

New CNBC Format - Big Mistake

I just saw her this morning on the today show. From what I remember reading they are grooming her to replace Katie Couric - since she might be leaving for CBS. Alexis has been all over the lately. Sometimes I see her hosting MSNBC news and I believe she is now a regular on the Today Show.

    Private Trading Firms in Denver?

electricsavant - you know of anyone? I'm in Denver too. There used to be some trading companies around here back in 2000. A buddy of mine ended up going to SF instead of trading from here back in 2002. So I'm guessing they are gone now.

New CNBC Format - Big Mistake

What's funny, is that it seems from the replies that the talking heads on CNBC didn't see this format before they got in this morning? Don't they unvail this stuff for them, get some feedback? It's like, oh, here you go, good luck. I agree with Maria, the peacock is a pain on the charts, add...

New CNBC Format - Big Mistake

Yeah, it's starting to become more apparent. If you think about it, look at Cramer, loud and in your face. Just like the new colors. Very bold strong colors. Almost metallic in color. Everything is very animated suddenly. Almost like a casino, bright lights, big sounds? May Dylan Radigan (sp?)...
