Looking for partners/investors in a niche market trading operation

Art Market? It's not that bad, come on. It's environmental derivatives, GHG, emission, carbon markets, that's essentially the umbrella. Even with the quirks and the ups & downs, it's a growing market. I expect most to disregard it, for obvious reasons. And I have gotten a few...

Looking for partners/investors in a niche market trading operation

First solar darling was actually ESLR, Evergreen Solar. They collapsed, and rightfully so. Nevertheless, I am not investing in solar panel manufacturers. Their situation is irrelevant to me and my SREC trading. I'm not looking for anyone to just fund my niche, I have already funded it...

Looking for partners/investors in a niche market trading operation

I guess so. I have a fraction of your trading experience, but I have seen the same pattern occur, in regards to opportunity and risk/reward as the particular market matures. Thats my gist. I'm not talking about whether is goes up, down or sideways. That irrelevant.

Not sure you get the gist of my statement. It's the cycle that happens to any trading arena as it matures.

This is Why U.S. college educations are worthless.

I like this idea. I've heard that back in the day you could finance a college education with a part time job. Prior to massive student debt.

You're even funnier than I originally thought. My advice is to learn what a chop shop is, and then comment. P.S. Oh boy, the SEC. The thought of them contacting me has gotten me so excited, I can't sit still.

    1) I did not realize my employer's involvement is some kind of a final seal of approval. It's not up his alley and it's not for everyone, I've said that from the start. Great opportunities at infancy are recognized & accepted by few, that's why they are able to flourish and enrich those few...

You may need to re-read my first post and understand that this information would only be disclosed once I meet the interested party and have a NDA signed.

Looking for partners/investors in a niche market trading operation

Do you mean a chop shop? I'm not selling pink sheets out of Long Island. If you want to call me a ponzi operator or a Madoff, that's fine, but at least make some sense when trying to flame me. Naysayers, doubters & haters are always expected when making these types of posts. So it's...

Cute. You may want to believe this is a scam, but I have the trade logs, contracts & invoices to confirm the results.

Looking for partners/investors in a niche market trading operation

Bull market? There has been a collapse, starting a year ago in most of the market. I've actually a nice chunk of profits in the last 6 months. I don't require bull markets, there is plenty of opportunity in either situation.

Looking for partners/investors in a niche market trading operation

There is no central NBBO to mark to. The market is fragmented. I have been able to sell off SRECs at prices 50% above where the offers were. If I had to, I could probably mark down the returns by 15% and ignore any mark ups. But it's just not logical because of the nuances of this market...

I'm full of it because I know my limitations in being able to build up this operation to the scale that I know it can be? What kind of sense is that supposed to make?

LOL, who do you think is on the other side of my trades? The carbon funds actually came moreso from the trading/finance side than the renewable energy side.

T-bond now in historical high, how much higher can it go?

Whoever is buying US Government, I just do not understand. It must be a lemming effect. It's practically guaranteed to fail, either due to default or inflation.

Why do the ultra rich stick money in hedge funds.

Just like Wall Street and finance industry in general.

Why do the ultra rich stick money in hedge funds.

SAC, Renaissance, Millenium, PTJ's fund. Just like with everything else, it's done via word of mouth & recommendations from peers before these hedge funds hit mainstream. No need to go through prospectuses unless it tickles your fancy.

Why do the ultra rich stick money in hedge funds.

That's idiotic. The ultra rich want premium returns. They don't just invest in random hedge funds, they do try to pick and choose. Often they are pushed toward bad investments (ala Madoff). Regardless, you picked out some index that ignores the smaller niche hedge funds. The larger hedge...
