I guess a temporary rent adjustment could be done,but most likely the landlord will not get any break in his principal and interest payment or insurance or property taxes. Not sure what taxes you are referring to. If rents go down your net is less so you will pay less Income tax. If your assessment goes down the town will raise the tax rate to achieve the amount of money needed for their budget.
