Trading Stats - What do you measure?

Disagree, Making money is the most important thing, but return on capital is just as important. If you have 1mm and you are only making 500 a day then your return is terrible and you might be better off sticking that money in a fund that makes over 12% a year and let someone else do the work...

    GOOG and YHOO

I dont' think market cap is the best way to judge a company against its competitor. I think you have to look at its forward P/E ratio. in the case of amd and intc, either intc needs to do a double or amd needs to drop 50% to make them EQUAL companies. Problem is they are not equal companies.

    GOOG and YHOO

True about market cap, but it's growth we are looking for. Forward EPS is what we are looking at here and the reason why goog is trading so high. The price is actually reasonable based on what they expect to earn in the future. I dont' see a 50% crash in google for 2006 unless of course they...

Making Mad Money with Jim Cramer

I would think any information leaked out about what he will be talking about violates some type of SEC regulations. The only people that probably know what he will talk about on the show are the researchers he uses, himself and his graphics staff. They probably can't trade those stocks either...

Did JJC *Jim James Cramer* have a falling out with some of CNBC staff?

Jerry springer still has a show and has been running it for 14 years, ahhh, imagine cramer for 14 years, that would be great.

I Just thought this was interesting. Here is a spreadsheet of cramers top ten picks and his worst ten picks for the month of November. Pretty impressive, although I know some of you will hate and say anyone could have made money in the market in november, it is still interesting to see these...

Making Mad Money with Jim Cramer

You are being a wet blanket, haha. But yes I know that the plan does better in a bull market and the month of november was definately in bull mode. That said, I still had a better return than the indices. The true test will be when we are in a bear market, also the true test will be on...

    First New York Securities

John, How do they know recent college grads can put up numbers? I'm just saying the resume gets you the interview. I think I should at least get the interview. I know when I'm there I will have to put up numbers or I will lose the job, but I'm just talking about getting in the door.

    First New York Securities

Have you tried getting a job there or do you know someone that has? Looks like they just take recent college grads, I'm an experienced professional I would think my resume would stand up against college grads, but maybe its just who you know?

Thanks Don, hopefully I can be one of the 2-10 people, the NJ offices are 4 miles from my home and the training program is really what draws me to them.

Not sure I understand this comment but part of the training is them preparing you to take the series 7 and 55. That is the first 10 weeks of training.

Anyone ever hear of First New York Securities? They have an incredible training program from what I see on the website and they pay 50k a year to trainees. The training lasts from 18 months to 2 years. It seems great but how hard is it to get into? I sent a resume out a couple weeks ago and...
