Trading very small helps. I used to think, what's the point in buying £1,000 of stock because, even if it goes up by 10%, it's only £100. Whereas if you lay down £10,000, the profit is £1,000. But there is a flip side. It's far easier to stay in control putting £1,000 in play than £10,000...

I'm not sure that's obvious. ;) We will see. It's only a gamble after all.

Or the UK equivalent, FTSE-350 stocks. With 350 horses to choose from, it shouldn't be too hard, at any given time, to find a few obvious candidates.

Take a look at this stock chart. Suppose you had to make one of 4 choices 1) go Long 2) go Short 3) wait to go Long 4) wait to go Short Which would you choose? If you choose (3) or (4) you must say what it is you would be waiting for.

I'm in a similar quandary. I started with mid 5-figure capital back in 2004. Did ok to begin with, probably more by luck than anything else, then it all fell apart. I'm left with a quarter of what I started with and 10% of what I'd initially grown it to. More than the financial loss, the abject...

1. MA - Market Awareness? 2. VSA - ... Self-Awareness? Visual? 3. ATR - Assess The Risk? 4. MM - Money Management 5. DOM - Direction Of Move?

While googling the 5 acronyms I had a quick read up on VSA (volume spread analysis) and DOM (depth of market). :eek::eek:

Yes you're probably right. Money Management, Measured Move, Market Manipulation... Could even be Monkey Method for all I know.
