ET Sentiment Indicator - Test #1

Hypothesis: Markets move in the opposite direction of ET bias. Are you bullish, bearish, or neutral on the S&P for the remainder of 2006? If proven: So much for "elite".

    October 2nd 2006, Black Monday?

Everything's pointing to at least a counter trend in the first few days of next week. Hopefully (if you're a bear) the sitgma attached to October will send everyone into a nervous panic and crash the market.

Suggestions for a low cost email server

I host my own using free software. Postfix, dovecot, postgrey, cyrus SASL, on OpenBSD platform. As nitro said, unless you have experience then you're probably better off paying a web host $2 a month.

Take this IQ test , see how dumb you really are

Have they affected your ability to think? I'd have thought they'd highten your awareness if anything. I got 127. I'd probably tank on the advanced one if it requires much knowledge.

    Is my career over?

Do what this guy says. No you don't have serious issues as others have stated. Everyone loses. Read Market Wizards, EVERYONE loses or blows out an account at some stage. I love newbies who think trading is so easy because they put on one or two winning trades... if only they knew what was...

What does it take to start a data feed company?

A lot of cash for the following: * Access to exchange data * Hire a few DB and software devs to develop a platform/mechanism for data storage and retrieval * Ensure data can always be accessed in case of a disaster, i.e. a fire or something. So you're obviously going to need many...

    Swing Trading and Overnight Positions

I swing trade. I've backtested my system enough to not give a shit about news. If the entry is there, I enter - I don't care what is happening. Really studying and testing my system was of prime importance, because otherwise I'd never have been able to trade without stress. Edit: I...

    $1,000,000 in 3 Months

Do the Zanger approach. Not sure of his money management, but punt the whole lot on chart patterns that are looking to explode. Of course you'll probably have to get out more often than not, but you'd have to get onto a few big rides. Don't try and make a trading system or use maths, lol -...

    Position sizing

Like HolyGrail, my position size is based on risk. I also don't look at returns in relation to position size; I look at returns in relation to risk.
