Only two suggestions - use a real charting platform instead of IB's built in charting. It will help your charts to be cleaner and easier to read. Also, I can't figure out your right trend lines. They don't seem to be aligned with the points that they should be, i.e. they are going through...

Just seemed to look "right" in hindsight. Seemed a little silly to me to have an up channel with a slope of only 1 tick per 20 minutes. If I had done it real time there would probably be several sub channels within the big lateral channel, but when trying to catch up on the day's annotations...

First time using the YM in a long time. Here is a snippet: 1345: FTP forms on ES (hold short) 1350: FTP BOs down on increasing red (hold short) 1354: FTT on YM forms (rev long) 1355: FTP forms on ES (hold long) 1400: FTP BO up (hold long) 1408: FTT on YM forms, FBO of ES FTP (rev short)

WOW. Real-time ES+YM data after 30 days of 10x speed ES playback data w/ annotation and simming is quite the experience. It's like you're on speed or something. Or like swinging a really really heavy bat before stepping up to the plate. SO MUCH TIME TO THINK!

Going to watch live data tomorrow for the first time in awhile (as opposed to ensign playbacks). If there's currently a chat room where you all are congregating during the day, could someone PM me the location? Thanks!

#$(#$#%, I need to finish school already so I don't miss days like this. Nice work.

The answer may be obvious, but what's the point -- why not just trade more contracts on the ES? Assuming you mean SCT (reverse) and not partial-SCT (entry/exit).

Nice series of posts! I'm with you all the way except for on this one... Was a little confused at your thought process, and have some questions. What reason did you have to go long? I would understand a long shortly after this, but based on the info available here it would be cool if you'd...

You are on the right track w/ this logic I believe. I too exit "early" in any PT3 trade where I find myself entering closer to the middle of the channel. I tend to exit near the LTL (+1-2 pts) in such cases. Sure, you miss out on the times when a random crazy volatility expansion shows up to...

FWIW, I don't have a clue what is going on in your chart. The colors give me a headache and there are lines going every which way. Perhaps part of the problem? Compare your charts to one of our newest posters, Padawan. They are gorgeous and it's very clear what is happening in his charts.

Well there's your problem. If you can't get PT3s to work, STOP, and forget about everything else, and don't even think about progressing to other things until you CAN get PT3s to work. There is no hope without this foundation.

Have you ever tried reading your posts out loud? They do not read like everyone else's. Yours are dripping with...... something. Indignation? Negativity? No, you are trying to stir the pot, like hypo, t28 et al. You don't *seem* to be trying to learn or get better, but rather to justify...

Bundlemaker you are wasting your time and everyone else's with these types of comments. If you focused your time on getting PT3s to work (if callmate and I can do it, you can) then you wouldn't be on your downward spiral towards B-team status. Try this: spend your time finding things that DO...

Seriously... This is the kind of question that you should be able to write a dissertation on since you say you've read the entire futures journal and seen 10k+ hours of screen time! Frankly I'm kind of confused at your asking of this question.   An FTT is or...

IMO this is an unusually large lateral, and thus there is plenty of room within it for a channel to form. When such is the case I would personally just forget about the lateral and focus on the things that I am confident with. Not saying I would enter on the R2R - I'd much prefer the orange...
