The Narrowing of the US Tax Base....

True, but at least in a no state income tax state like Tenn., nice homes are relatively inexpensive. If someone's really has a bad taste for taxes, they could live in Vancouver, WA (no st. income tax) and do your major purchases (except cars) right across the river in Portland, OR (no sales...

Ron Paul says healthcare not a right

I don't think it's far-fetched, considering that's EXACTLY how it was going to be under Hilliary Care.

Ron Paul says healthcare not a right

Driving during the summer in Death Valley with a radiator half full of water isn't a problem either, unless you overheat. You might learn about the problems of socialized medicine down the road. Hopefully you won't.

Ron Paul says healthcare not a right

How can you consider yourself 'free' (with regards to healthcare) if you can't even choose your doctor? I don't know if it would start out like that, but I'm dam well sure that's how it'll end. It's very possible it will be ILLEGAL for you and the doctor to get a medical procedure outside of...

The Narrowing of the US Tax Base....

Don't give up yet. Try to change things for the better first. In the mean time, if needed, look for a low cost of living area. That'll do more to help your bottom line than most other ideas. Maybe pick a state with no income tax.

Thanks to the Federal Reserve, which imo is also the root cause of the housing bubble.

    Americans Against Ron Paul...

Ron Paul is exactly what this country needs. In fact, we've needed him for quite some time now. Instead, we ended up with the antithesis of our needs.

The Narrowing of the US Tax Base....

The basic problem with this "Atlas Shrugged" type of idea is that achievers by nature, tend to be individualistic and not easily herded into large group activities, such as a long term strike. Although I love the idea of pinching the pockets of these hack politicians, consider the effect the...

The Narrowing of the US Tax Base....

Unbelievable, one actor in Hollywood is waking up. He called Obama a false prophet. http://www.accesshollywood.com/las-vegas/jon-voight-on-his-obama-slam-we-are-losing-freedoms-every-day_article_19372

The Narrowing of the US Tax Base....

No doubt, these are depressing times for freedom loving individuals. But even more depressing is how Libertarians and Conservatives seem to have absolutely no game plan in site for the next election. They need a big idea and that idea must unite independents with conservatives to take the...

Monogamy: "A man is as faithful as his options"?

On a serious note, just like people say they have a right to healthcare, don't women have a right to sex? I thinks it's quite possible a law would be passed to require some "quality" time from those 100 men.

This has been my experience as well.

    Will Obama get reelected?

I admit I was wrong about Obama winning. I felt strongly that a man with his anti-capitalist, marxist background could never win, because I understimated the stupidity of the voters. But next time, many of the white voters that put him over the top, aren't going to be there for him. Why...

Monogamy: "A man is as faithful as his options"?

With that kind of ratio you wouldn't be making a choice, you'd be raped every day. :D

    Atlas Shrugged?

I'm not naive. Liberals have a goal, and no matter how they get their foot in the door or what they call it, they want power over your heathcare. Don't be fooled. It will be a mess, just like SS. That you can put your money on. Last post, gotta go.

Ron Paul says healthcare not a right

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are rights that every person on this planet should have. There is no right to healthcare. The difference is that healthcare for someone that does not pay, requires a portion of someone else's life to pay for it. It's that simple. Someone must...

    Atlas Shrugged?

Again, imo, it's not the government's responsibilty to take away disadvantages. Who decides what constitutes a disadvantage? Blond hair?, small boobs, frizzy hair? Where does it end? Do you really want that much gov't in your life? Yea, they've done a great job with social security...

    Atlas Shrugged?

"Imo, the role of government should be to alleviate this disadvantage to new generations, otherwise there is very little incentive for new generations to work." --------------------------------------------------------------------- Nitro, I just don't see it as the government's role to...

    Atlas Shrugged?

Alright, we could compare two services. The right to heathcare vs the right to an oriental oil massage. Still the same issue. Where is my humanity? What's wrong with donations & charity instead of gov't force. I do have a heart, I just don't like being forced to do anything.

    Atlas Shrugged?

I didn't like how the teacher tried to INDOCTRINATE my son with a liberal concept, that is the opposite of private ownership. Sure, pencils now, later your dollars and a portion of your life. I don't call that sharing either. Sharing is when you WILLFULLY give something, not through force...
