Term Limits Now! (Here We Go Again - Maybe This Time It Will Stick)

It is a myth that the poor do not have heathcare. Here in Atlanta, if the poor get ill they go to Grady Hospital and other places. Yes, they wait in lines, but hell, I just had to wait 1.5 hrs for a damn flu shot at Kaiser.

Term Limits Now! (Here We Go Again - Maybe This Time It Will Stick)

Voting isn't supposed to be a free market. It's currently a priviledge to vote, but there is no right to vote. IMO, there should be at least one requirement to vote in a federal election: Pay federal income tax during the previous year.

Term Limits Now! (Here We Go Again - Maybe This Time It Will Stick)

You're expecting some of them like Barney Frank and Maxine Waters to be more professional? C'mon, these folks don't know their ass from their elbow. Look at the shit the liberals have put themselves into in Calif.

Precisely the aim of ObamaCare. But some of us know better.

Term Limits Now! (Here We Go Again - Maybe This Time It Will Stick)

Many of these knuckleheads in congress have completely lost sight of the fact that they are there to TEMPORARILY serve the citizens of this country, not make a profession out of it. It's human nature to become power hungry when given that much control for long periods of time. We need to...

20 years Since Fall of Berlin Wall. Sad Moment For Marxists?

I know Obama's busy with the Fort Hood situation, but would he have been celebrating with other leaders, the fall of the Berlin Wall? Or, is this a sad moment for he and his marxist buddies? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091109/ap_on_re_eu/eu_germany_wall_anniversary

Marc Faber, Dollar Will Eventually Go to Value of Zero, Oct 26, 2009

Exactly. I'll even go as far as saying, I hope this Obamination of a president starts talking, like Clintion was, about taking a portion of people's 401(k) plans for distribution to the Looters & Moochers. That'll get your average joe to think twice about ever voting for another...

Where would you live if you can make more than $200000 per year from stock mark.

I have a considerable amount of experience with moving around the U.S.. I've lived in the Northeast, Northwest & the Southeast and have travelled extensively. My advice is this. it's smart to consider a low cost of living area, if you're making around 200k, but your main concern should be...

    objectivisms role in economics

Lets say that you have this strange hobby (imo only) of collecting 18th century dildos. You're just crazy about the things. And, I come along and say "Hey, isn't that selfish of you to spend all that money on those dildos when you could be giving that money to your local orphanage?" Isn't...

    objectivisms role in economics

Is it really anyone's business how much money a person wants or the reasons he wants it, or how much he makes, or what he spends it on? Who gets to set the standard for selfishness & greed? If a person doesn't respect property rights or commits fraud, that something different.

    objectivisms role in economics

Possibly the same as I said about the motivators of innovation & invention, except packaged differently. Isn't a need for importance really the same as selfishness & greed for notoriety? Going back to the original question, "Do you think objectivism is the cause of the economic situation?"...

    objectivisms role in economics

One could argue that selfishness and greed are at the very core of human progress throughout history. If we conclude that invention & innovation have created better lives for humans, then we have to ask, what are the motivators for this? Is it not based on selfishness or greed, as far as...

    objectivisms role in economics

There will always be parasites in this world. Lets not make life easier for them like we currently do, lets make life HARDER for them. Personal & family responsibility is what I'm talking about. And yes, I've read AS. In 2009, the moochers and looters are winning. They must be stopped.

    objectivisms role in economics

No. Greed and greedy are words used by looters and moochers. :D People that are responsible for their self and family and actually contribute to society generally do not use those words.
