Bright Trading and Other Pro Shops?

When I was still new to this a couple years ago I checked out a firm here in SF called Landmark Securities. It was run by three guys at the time. Once I visited the office, I liked the atmosphere so I opened an account. After a couple more visits to the office I got the feeling that...

    How do tracking stocks work?

This is an article showing the holdings in the HOLDR's from March of last year. Though the holdings are probably much different now, it would give you an idea of how they are broken down. http://www.thestreet.com/_yahoo/funds/deardagen/894384.html

    Priority Access @ Cybercorp

Cybercorp started a new feature today. Looks like Schwab is improving customer service. I don't know what the requirements are to have this "priority" service. I got this email, and a call today from Cyber: (the bold part is the most important) Dear XXXXX, As one of our most valued...

    ISLD Trading

Ahh ok... I use Cyber, and you can choose whether or not you want to see bid/ask changes in the T&S window. I have it turned off.

    Broker Ratings

Baron, the site is looking great. One thing I think would be helpful is a link to the broker on that particular broker's rating page. I have never heard of many of these companies and would like to be able to have a direct link to their site. Dustin

    Volume Alerting Software

I should specify a little more about the InvestorRT alert. It's not a volume alert. Instead, it measures the # of trades over a specified time, compared to another time period.

    Volume Alerting Software

Markiss, Check out InverstorRT at http://www.linnsoft.com. There is a tool in that program called Tick Velocity that does exactly what you want. The downside of the program is you need a data feed (eg. Esignal) and the preparation of the Tick Velocity tool is quite tedious. Dustin

    Telltale signs of a reverse

In my opinion that is where TA indicators come into play, but with CyberX2 you may not have the ability.

    Daytrading on Datek

TheFinn, IB is only cheaper than Cyber if you trade <1000 shares at a time. IB: .01c per share @ 1000 shares = $10 Cyber: $9.95/trade @ any = $10 (appx) Also, IB's software is only an executuion tool. No charts, Level II, Time & Sales. You would need to subscibe to another...

    Questions for Rtharp?

Couldn't agree with you more. This is imo one of the most important theories of trading. Afterall...$1k/day is about $250,000/year.

    Questions for Rtharp?

John, After reading your goals I have a comment. I think most of the profitable traders here will agree with me. You will probably struggle in the beginning like all of us, but if you can get enough experience daytrading then $1k per day is not very hard. I think there are two...

    Cybercorp Chart Problems?

I've used CyberTrader for almost a couple years now and do not have nearly as many problems as you. Cyber's charts do occasionally blank out, but it never freezes completely. Stability may depend on how good your internet connection is.

    Market Maker Game

I'm really bored, so I thought maybe we could get some sort of friendly competition going with this Nasdaq Head Trader game. I have had problems running it in IE, so if you have the option I suggest using Netscape. So far I am at 43rd place on the Advanced level with a score of 2.49M...
