don't know what Geeksquad uses....but most of my peers make their own "unattended install" discs up. windows does make that version....if you roll your own! unattended install is not something people made up after microsoft - you can put that into their tech site search or explore the windows...

I'm not on a mac but had similar probs awhile back. what i did to fix it was completely uninstall ALL java and java updates, restart pc and reinstall latest java. then reinstall TWS and latest API. then restart. then burn some incense and chant alittle (well....maybe that might have been cussin).

The company writing the mortgage isn't the loser - think about the interest and how it's paid (ie you pay a heck of lot more for your house than it's selling price by the time you're done - they get the "purchase price or most of it early on).

fwiw i've been using visiontrader for stocks i scalp on a regular basis - it works great and is free. it'll set the limit target and trailing stop, etc at the instant the order is placed - it's faster than i am for sure. medved qoutetracker for other order entries/exits (unless hidden orders...

fwiw i've had pretty good luck with hidden orders on island for stops on NYSE stocks, they don't seem to be hit as much... also for target limit orders i like the same method. ARCA usually has a cent better price if you're in a hurry.
