    Wall Street Job-Hunter Chronicle

Many have wound up empty handed on stock options. Especially those taking options around 1999,2000, and 2001. However, the 1996 Yahoo options at $1/share are worth $1200/share now and the 1998 Broadcom options at $0.50/share are worth $300/share now (stock splits). Needless to say ... I...

    Recommend a Trading chair

Is it a "knee chair" what you mean? (see picture here). Bought one last week from Staples. We are having a contest in our office to see who can sit in it for the longest time. I logged about 25 minutes, Vinnie couldn't even get into it. Bob has logged the record just yesterday at...

Weak. Did they give you a verbal offer? Did they tell you what the offer is going to look like? Why did you call them? You did the right thing. Always ask questions - always be strong - always "interview" your prospective company - have a plan. The more desirable talent is the one that...

    QM just stopped trading

Might want to think about also trading WTI on IPE. It is the NYMEX full size West Texas Crude contract. Price QM = Price WTI You can trade it from IB TWS right next to QM from NYMEX. Two ways to trade the same thing is always a good thing for price and technical difficulties.

What Was The Most Simple Edge That Worked For You?

PCanyon, were you trading the SP pre-NYSE open on Black Monday in 1987? I believe it opened in Chicago down 7% off Friday's close ... then, the eye of the storm hit ... Were you there? To stay relevant with the forum, a market edge that has somewhat deteriorated was to play the ZN or ZB...

    Have a tax question...please help...

There may be a few exeptions to the P/L. For example, I believe Single Stock Futures on individual equities in the US are treated differently than broad based equity futures like YM, ES, NQ, etc... ... but I doubt anyone trades those here.

    Crude bounce.....

Thank you for the details. Actually, (in JimCramer style) don't you want everybody to copy you right after you finish "entering" your position. That is when you make money ;)

    Crude bounce.....

No where do I find this prediction. Please post a reference substantiating this post. There is a big difference in predicting "rain" sometime in the future and predicting "rain tomorrow afternoon around 3pm".

Not exactly. You can use Single Stock Futures SSF to essentially short a subset of US Equities that are essentially have highest liquidity. No margin for IRA.

Brent v nymex???? How can you lose?

Well ... if you did the front month (April) you are losing ... if you did May/June losing less. How is your trade going?
  19. D

    Crude bounce.....

Why is Brent (COIL) and Nymex (WTI) crude priced the same? I thought WTI was slightly sweeter and therefore always had a price premium? Looking at WTI and COIL or QM on IPE - April contracts are trading within pennies of each other ... they seemed almost Arb'd?
