What do you think of moving average crossovers?

They are not useful on their own, they need to be used in conjunction with price action. I think a read you will enjoy in "Technical Analysis using Multiple Timeframes". It has a chapter on moving averages

Why isn't Pre-market and After hours data included in Daily charts?

Hey, I noticed only IB data includes Pre-market and After hours in Daily/Historical charts. Why is that? I mean looking at GME yesterday how it went to 200$. shouldn't that be included? If the stock traded at this price, does it matter what time if its during Regular hours or not?

Need desperate help (Lost life savings)

I would personally do a lot of research before trading and putting real money in. Know how stocks and prices move before you do anything else. Figure out patterns. Really know what you are doing before you put any money into it. Once you know how stocks move up and down, start very small. If you...

You already got a lot of good advices but I would just like to add a few words. Don't beat yourself hard at it. You are still young and we all make mistakes, sometimes more than we can afford. At least you still have your health, family and friends. Just think of it as a big bump on the road...

    No trading permissions

Which broker? IB? You need to get trading permissions for the products you want to trade. You have to go to Account Settings then go to Trading Permissions Also if you are trading Pre-market or after hours you need to have it allowed. https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=47551

IB TWS API delayed order submission

Yes that is true, but when I submit the order in TWS, the delay is milliseconds that is is not noticeable. But using a 3rd party platform through the API, I can see the delay its like the order is frozen before being submitted. Sometimes, I don't get this delay but a lot of times its like the...

IB TWS API delayed order submission

yes the LIMIT price is ASK + (x). That is why it is called MARKETABLE LIMIT order. It is between a LMT and a MKT order. But to implement it, you use LMT order. Go to the TWS screenshot order I sent you and you will see it is implemented using a LIMIT order. Yes but STOP LIMIT will only get you...

IB TWS API delayed order submission

No it is a LMT order above/below ASK/BID instead of MKT order so you don't get destroyed on the price using MKT order

IB TWS API delayed order submission

ok I think we are getting confused here hehe. Let's say I don't have any positions. I want to go long. BID/ASK is 250.5/240.6. If I send a LIMIT order at the ASK I might not get filled if the stock is moving fast. So I send a LIMIT order at the ASK + 0.1 meaning if the stock moved to 240.7 I...
