    Scottrade's obnoxious commercials

If I leave Bloomberg or CNBC on there's the inevitable SUPERLOUD, obnoxious Scottrade commercial. Does this abrasive crap actually gain them customers? I've gotten to the point where I loathe Scottrade. I wouldn't open an account there if my life depended on it. I'd like to use a Stinger...

    Death Of Capitalism

"Death Of Capitalism" Don't tell China. Or India. Or Russia. Let's throw Brazil in there, too. EMR - have a pant-filling meltdown as often as you want but socialist systems have been a mass failure and capitalism continues to transform societies for the better and no one, not even...

Financials set for another big rally

Reverse head and shoulders formation in Philly Bank Index (BKX). Same thing in Citigroup's chart, MA and COF. The Morgan Stanley Cyclical's chart (CYC). Several other stocks and indices as well. The market has retraced the initial rate cut rally in the financials and will soon turn back to...

    CSCO just lowered guidence

The funny thing is, this can't be a surprise to anyone but, yeah, the market will probably get pounded anyway. People just have no reason to buy. I can't think of any good news out there about anything.

Bernanke popped the real estate bubble

Yes, as I've been informed by gnome, the real estate bubble has not been popped and, even if it had, Bernanke had nothing to do with it. :D

Bernanke popped the real estate bubble

This is the type of well-reasoned, intelligent, philosophical counter-argument I've learned to expect and enjoy here at TrailerTrader.com. Thanks for rising to the occassion, Jay! :D Good work! :D

Bernanke popped the real estate bubble

So the real estate bubble has not been popped? I'll be darned. My mistake. :D Well, not just mine. Apparently, the entire real estate market is operating under some kind of mass delusion.

Bernanke popped the real estate bubble

So why doesn't he ever get any praise for deflating the ridiculously overinflated real estate market? I say "good work, Bennie!" Mission accomplished. :D We all owe him our thanks. Don't we? After all, there's nothing worse than inflation.

With few exports and high interest rates Europe will go into a deep recession?

I do think the basic point of the original post is a good one. The EU has traditionally favored slow growth over potential inflation and no one thinks that will change anytime soon. I'm not convinced they'll go into a deep recession but I would bet they'll be hurting 3 to 6 months from now...
