Suppose a stock looks good for all the signals, LB volume exceeded prior to 11:30 AM, MACD Hist +, Stochastic >75 and positive price movement, but doesn't reach FRV by EOD and you sell out. Suppose it doesn't even reach the UB volume threshold by EOD - would it still be on deck to be bought...

SpyderTrader, Have you been using limit orders this whole time? I would have thought market orders might serve you better for the JH method. Did you switch to a limit order because of size or due to rapid price movement? -ace

You can use Medved Quotetracker with the streaming data feed for quite a few brokers. One version of Medved is free if you don't mind the ads. You can also place trades to a lot of brokers dirtectly through Medved's interface. If you pay fee you can eliminate ads and the need to click them.

SpyderTrader, You're confusing me with typo's I think. Which one EZPW or ELOS? I know I could look at the intraday charts, but for the sake of your journal's accuracy you may wish to correct the typo's. Looks like ELOS to me. -ace

When I previewed the post it seems to have blown the attached screen away. It should be attached here. I had to zip it as ET wouldn't let me upload it as an .IFF file.

Has anyone tried or read about anyone trying a weekly version of Jack's basic strategy? Stocks fluctuate in cycles on many different levels that Jack calls fractals in his writings. There are a number fairly consistent weekly cycles as well as the daily cycle Jack has identified. I wonder if...

SyderTrader, I'm curious if the WL code 0 to 7 score effects your decision making. I know the spirit of the score is to locate the price and volume in a particular stage of the natural cycle. That would seem to mean to me that you wouldn't want to be trading a 5 as that would indicate the...

Here's a observation. Does the JH ranking system work well in reverse? It seems to me that lately as the market goes into high bearish mode, the PV relation is backwards - DU occurs near the high of the up cycle and FRV occurs at the start of the down cycle. I don't really recall much...

I've tested this on the WL website and it works. Give it a shot after you create a JH watchlist or two in the 'Watchlists' section. It will also create a banner type alert above the price chart. Please note that this is simply meant to help you screen the lists of stocks, its not a trading...

I have a suggestion for modifying the WL code to speed up the process of identifying the hotlist stocks. The chartscript I'm talking about is the most recent version called "ChartScript - Hershey Equities Rank v. 2.0.1". The code currently calculates the rank (if there is one) for each stock...

Spyder, This is an extremely interesting method to me as a product of my own observations and study I started looking for stocks with what I called "bone dry" volume in the bottom of a price base about a year ago. I had noticed that this was a very common characteristic of big winner stocks...
