god help you romik. whenever someone makes you look at reality a bit you become defensive and upset. maybe what b1s2 is doing to you will be good for you in the end because it will make you face reality faster. and yes, b1s2 must also know that you have a tiny account.

b1s2 you are a cruel man. you are obviously leading romik on and not telling him the danger of following this strategy. you know as well as anyone that the danger of this 25% win strategy is of course the frequent, long losing streaks. he is trading cfds (so obviously a tiny account) and you...

Which games resemble the game of trading the most?

slot machines are not rigged. the odds are against the player and the player knows it, but he keeps playing anyway. the market is not rigged in the long run. it may or may not be rigged in the short run. the odds are overwhelmingly against the trader with a small account and he knows it...

Which games resemble the game of trading the most?

slots - because it shows you that when you're hoping for success you believe what you want to believe even though hard math tells you that there's almost no chance of succeeding.

    40yoTrader - collaberation

i think you better specify how the collaboration would work. inevitably the person who knows more will feel like he's not getting the same value in return.

    40yoTrader - collaberation

i trade a couple of systems. i have more trades per year but i don't have the profit factor that you have. i think you should put in slippage and commissions assumptions in the backtest even though you think you'll have no slippage.

isn't it 1.3 dollars per euro? so if 1.3 goes to 1.31 then the dollar is crashing against the Euro, not the other way around.

"The China Price" - The best business article I have seen in years.

the only reason why ronnie chan said that is because he is a Hong Kong executive in Beijing and he's trying to kiss Beijing's ass. hong kong companies are notorious for having family controlled corporations. someone should ask him what's the democratic process at his company to replace him...

btw johnbob have you successfully learned b1s2's grail signals?
  18. M

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

but the problem is that the grail signal isn't clearly defined. the general framework is defined but as we have seen there are lots of nuances. b1s2 seems to be the only person who can call it accurately. i am still trying. if i keep a log now i will be logging the non-grails as well. btw...

i cannot test this statistically but my observations so far tell me the cost is not marginal. if you disagree i am very interested in how you reached your conclusion.
