yeah from what it looks like thinkorswim cuts out the 25th, 26th, 27th of december, and starts again on the 28th for the futures and the currencies. where as the prophet chart skips only the 25th of december, which seems more logical to me for futures and currencies trading. well guess I...

as you can see i failed that activity in kindergarten ha. I see....14 in thinkorswim and 16 in the prophet, what to believe though? What would you suggest in a situation like this, not a trade recomendation but I guess would you think the euro is breaking the trend or still in it?

I think the time issue is probably it, never thought of that. I will check when I get home but it does seem like the thinkorswim chart is probably ending the day or starting the day later, not including as much possibly, therefore breaking out of the channel sooner? Anyone else seeing this?

sorry to link to another thread i opened but its not getting any replies and figured maybe in trading it would...my issue is that my thinkorswim charts for eur/usd and my prophet charts for eur/usd show different channels and results when I draw them...you can see the charts in the below...

and now the thinkorswim one....

I use ameritrade thinkorswim platform and sometimes use the built in prophet charts and sometimes use the thinkorswim ones. When charting the eur/usd on one chart (ameritrades) it shows it breaking out of the channel, but on the prophet chart it shows it just barely breaking the downward...

When you say call action is heating up in the 114 spys are you saying some big money is selling 114 calls in hopes of going down to there? Or this is a bullish as in people buying them.

usually happens like this...pull up a chart in the prophet.net charts, no lag when moving around...zoom in, then...zoom out and then I get a lot of lag when moving the mouse around. Have a new imac so i'm not that far behind on speed.

Does anyone use the thinkorswim desktop with a mac and when using the prophet.net charts or the regular thinkorswim charts does your crosshair lag a little behind your mouse movements sometimes?? Kinda annoying just seeing if other people notice this.

there definitely is, but I find finding that first point is hardest, i prefer channels with the median line

just curious, what value do you think tick has over a time based chart for your style of trading? I do a lot of trendline type trading, mostly channels and I find time based works better for me. I feel its mostly trader preference, but just curious...

no one has prophetcharts on thinkorswim? can someone please try this out..... create a channel, right click and move it, see if it changes size and dimensions. Pllleaassee thank you.

when I create a channel on prophetcharts in the thinkorswim desktop platform and then decide to right click and hit "move" or "duplicate" once I start to move the chart it seems to expand and rotate the channel for some reason, changing what it looks like from the original....anyone have this...
