A bit late, I know. But didn’t see any issue with the data from IB, though I’m not using TWS for charting, using Medvedtrader.com, but data from IB, 1 & 5 min charts.

I've used Medved Trader since the beta version. Super stable. All the bells & whistles. $180'ish/year. Superb support. Broker is IB.

Medved Trader can plot volume charts, in addition to P&F, Renko, tick etc. etc.

I'd give Medved Trader a try...has DOM, chart trading. IB as the feed, highly recommended. Absolutely superb support.

With IB (TWS) you easily get charts with different time frames, 1-minute, 5-min, hourly etc. etc., set up on as many monitors as you would like. As far as I know, there is no limit for how many charts you can have open, only issue will be computer limitations, memory etc. I don't use IB's...

Have you thought of a partial sell (you'll never sell the exact top, nor cover the exact bottom tick)? In this case, you could have sold 500 shares (for instance), then sold another 2-300 shares a bit higher, and let the rest of the shares ride while moving your stop up from support level to...

Don't know if this helps, using Excel, here is an example of what can be used: Just type in, starting under column A (Trade Number), B (Date), C (Time-of trade)/D (open-close), E (long-short), Sh/contr (shares-contracts)/...Type/Multiplier (Fut-stk-etf etc)/Commish/. And you can add/delete...
