How can we improve our trading skill ?

Heres my take on improving our trading skills... If your a successful discretionary trader please chim in; however, I'd like to argue that theres a reason why 95% of traders fail. There's 3 areas to trading - Your psychology, your trade management, and your ability to correctly predict...

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

Stick to your guns, don't overleverage and one day (hopefully in the not so distant future this short bet will pay off) The catalysts that will send this puppy flying down would be a tiny little rate hike from somewhere in the world (Brazil just did a tiny one) preferably from asia. The...

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

Do some research on the Yen Carry trade... Not sure if you;ve ever read market wizards but your thesis is common Fundamentals VS technicals. I agree with you that there is a large divergence between the real economic reality and what is going on in the market; however, the reason why this...

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

I need to look further at all of that data, I wonder if you can export it and analyze it because thats amazing. I'm positioned short in this market currently but if i don't see a minor pullback in the next few days i will be re-evaulating especially with this new info, Thanks a lot!!

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

I quickly read into it and looked into it on the ISEE site. Clearly over 100 is bullish and under 100 is bearish, intraday (Today people are actually bearish) but... on individual securities people are very bullish. obviosuly theres some divergence but thanks a lot for sharing that!

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

Maverick, thank you for your insight as always. - Where you read your sentiment readings from? -How do you derive your technical levels? I'm not sure if 3000 is a resistance level for the NQ but everytime the NQ hits a whole number area (minus 2900, since we jus tblew threw that) there...

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

I do... But i'm not saying hey why the hell hasn't the ES dropped to 1400 or the NQ to 2600, what i am saying is every up move experiences speed bumps along the way; however, i have not seen anything like this yet. Even January wasn't this wild

So what will send this rally over the cliff?

This rally is disgusting. The end of today marks a 10 day run on the american indices. I got interested in going short last week after some clowns front ran the market on "good data" to give this rally the its current leg up. Whats it going to take for gravity to kick in? Must the yen start...

Quantitative Order Book $ Flow Analysis

Forsure! Ive never done it. I trade with IB and i'm sure i could pay to get access to it but do some people drive an edge from analyzing the order book?

Quantitative Order Book $ Flow Analysis

The more and more i trade intraday, the more i see common things happening on the order book. Right now this is done purely on a discretionary basis. Excuse me for sounding like a "newb" but i think theres a lot of value and alpha for one to take out of an order book and order flow analysis...
