You couldn't even wait for the first 15-minute down bar? Hmm.

(poll)Will the stock market crash hard by end of 2020?

As for me, I'm expecting a large crash. Not sure yet if it will be speedy or slow. Expecting at least a 30% drop in the coming year. Stimulus may or may not come. Either way it will not save the market, although you will likely see bounces and chop.

Check out this base in the SP futures

Or "ceiling" as I called it in my OP, lol.

Check out this base in the SP futures

Check out this very steady base (or possible ceiling, lol), in the SP futures. It appears as though a big seller is holding the fort at 3300. Any thoughts?

Only fools buying into the hype of the skyrocketing housing market

It's not income distortion as much as it is wealth distortion, although wealth distortion couldn't occur without income distortion having occurred at some point (of course). And where you see a lot of home buying is in the suburbs of Democrat cities, where Republicans are moving out of the...

New Jersey and New York are thinking of taxing financial transactions

So for every 4 transactions, they earn themselves a penny? Can't be right.

I agree with your call Volente, including your target and your stop.

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

Does anyone else feel like an FTT is an attempt to get the little guy out of the room, in the same way they kicked the little guy out of the room when they created the pattern daytrader rule? The pattern daytrader rule required that you must have $25,000 in your account, otherwise you can't...

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

The link in my original post, Ken, shows that Kamala wants only a 0.0002% FTT on derivatives, which is pretty tiny and might be totally acceptable to daytraders. Futures are derivatives, right? That's a pretty tiny FTT. Perhaps we could all migrate to futures? Maybe that's what the elite...

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

    $2300 + $2370 = $4670. $4670 x 1% = $46.70 $46.70 / 5 = $9.34 $9.34 x 5 (round trips per day) = $46.70. Your FTT would approach $50/day, whether profitable or not.

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

Doesn't look like it would be too hard to get Biden's approval if the Dems hold the Senate.

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-tax-agenda-hinges-on-democratic-control-of-senate-11597586400 I don't have a subscription to WSJ. Can anybody tell me the gist of what it says?

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

You're right, Kamala's FTT seems to come from July 2019. Perhaps things have changed.

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax to pay for her Medicare for All plan. If this comes to pass, where should we migrate to? Would trading the triple-ETFs still be viable? A tax on "options trades" is not specifically mentioned, although I wonder if that is included under the umbrella of "stock...
