so far my experience with scottrade (about half a year) has given me no problems. Everything seems real-time and the data feed is good. When I enter a limit, I will see it appear on the B x A almost instantly. No fill problems. Not sure why the majority has it out for Scottrade. My guess is...

well i guess i'll jump on this journal affair although my entries were last thursday. #1 TRE 600 @ 6.195 showed strength last week, although now it seems to be tailing off..will probably drop it soon #2 CEF 500 @ 6.81 steadily climbing without much pulling back...we'll see how...

exactly. It doesn't matter if a wolf ate some little girl in a kid's story...or if someone made millions in a trader's story. The point is its a story and if everyone is busy trying to find the "problems" of it, they will never appreciate it, whether its bs or not. Fiction sells alot :p...

simple. Everyone has come to expect more from google (which they have provided) up until now when the level of expectancy is larger and increases faster than Google can keep up with. The first sign will be the 4th qtr. earnings report. It will be good but not as good as wall street...

I believe you need to keep forcing yourself to learn. Once/if you start profiting consistantly, you should continue to learn and dare i say experiment with other systems and ideas. Each system you trade will not always work, or at least not always work well enough to use.

I coud use a little help here. I would like to be a full time trader sooner rather than later from graduating college. First, would you recommend a part-time job and only trading two or three days a week OR a nightshift job which allows for full time trading? Also, what respectable night...

i always believed a good rule to follow is if you are unsure what to do and you have a profit, just take it. uncertainty leads to luck. RT

i would say it depends on the strategy you are backtesting. Some patterns are more dependable/probable in different time frames on different securities. Lots of variables involved....time frame is just another one of them. RT

well how bout this question for those who believe in the continuous compounding... when or at what point do you decide that you should stop compounding (your active trading capital that is)? If you reach $300,000....is it necessary to have more than that in your day trading account? $500K...
