Best forex trader I know is on FF and trades a 7 figure account. Very confident he makes millions a year. Few other pretty successful traders there but not many.

Too much focus on taxes IMO. Focus on making good investments and hope you have lots of profits to pay taxes on. Just prior to the end of the year, if you have a large profit then look through your list of stocks and sell some with large losses that you think weren't/aren't good investments...

You probably sold a naked call rather than covered call? If a covered call, you should have a profit if combining long stock + short call. Disclose call sold and at what price you sold it. Plenty of options experts here (I'm not one of them) to give suggestions but your information is too vague...
