I am not so sure if it's just discipline. Many software now have automated trading available as a function. So if you backtested a strategy that seems to work, you can just let the computer trade for you...you can't eliminate emotion out of trading more than that. But even then, it is not...

Walked into a gateway store a few months ago, saw a bunch of horses eating hays and talked to some techs busy milking cows. They take that country thing to a whole new level...didn't see any computers though, think they are diversifying their business into farming
