Hamas leader killed by Israel - market response?

The UN? Who started it? Where is it located? Who finances most of it? It's only the UN when a few big shots want it to be the UN.

Hamas leader killed by Israel - market response?

There's no question that it's the smart move. It's always best to let the US do the grunt work for everybody else.

    Asset Allocation help needed

Am curious about your fund and have a couple of questions if you don't mind answering. What vehicles do you normally trade? Futures, options, stocks? Do you use some discretion on timing relating to entries, exits or is it mostly automated? Thanks, and keep up the good work!

How does huge evacuation impact trading?

American markets usually don't pay any attention to overseas events. Unless the market is tanking and then the media will usually blame whatever event is more prominent.

Who has order execution platform similar to IB?

I ask because it seems very amateurish the way many platforms are designed where you deal with 1 or 2 symbols at a time. It appears most platforms are really designed to serve the needs of the brokers, not the traders.

Who has order execution platform similar to IB?

Could someone tell me which platform out there may be similar to IB's? Where you set up various pages with symbols and then just click away for order entry. Thanks!

    Bright Trading's website

Your website says... "Professional traders get interest on short stock held overnite (over $100K)" Does this mean that if I am short $100,000 of stock I not only do not pay interest but I *receive* interest? Can you clarify? Thanks!

Which specialist handles a particular stock...

What are you talking about? Obviously, you did not read the beginning of the thread since I said that my purposes for this research were to see if there are any underlying patterns in the securities being traded by each specialist. Like, say if they are the specialist for a particular group...

Which specialist handles a particular stock...

Ok, so far I see that as someone posted, there are 7 specialist firms representing virtually ALL NYSE stocks. It seems they only tell you the names of the firms but not the individual "head specialist person" for each company. Still, this gives me enough info to begin. Thanks guys!

Which specialist handles a particular stock...

Yeah! I'm gonna sue their asses! Actually, what I had in mind was to see if I could spot some type of pattern among the securities that these specialists handle. I suspect there is something but I would need to know which individual handles which stock.

Which specialist handles a particular stock...

Is there a way to find out who the specialist is for all NYSE stocks?

    Day traders: They’re baaaack!

NO they're NOT baaaaaack! The promoters, scamsters and brokers all WISH they would be back and are doing everything they can to bring them back. This bullshit article is another way to try and get the fools into the game again.

    Daytrading Currencies Explodes

In currency trading, most of the money is made by risk-free banks transacting, more like "piggybacking" on customer orders. Between those players and YOU, there are layers of others with more capital, resources, connections to figure out which way things might go and often it's still all random...

    Daytrading Currencies Explodes

It's more about chosing the lesser evil. About having some "edge", however small it may be. In the currency "game", there barely is any for the average little guy after he's done paying the spread. Also, in the scheme of things at least trading in stocks contributes to investment in...

    Where are all the amateurs?

Oh !&#@! Just because some kid says he made 50% on who knows what amount of capital (I did not read the entire bs story which almost sounds like another sales pitch) is now supposed to make others give currency trading and try and succeed? What a joke! Go back to school. This kind of...

    Where are all the amateurs?

So far, it doesn't look like any pocket change from "thousands of little amateurs" is making any difference in any other market, except the e-mini where things are even more competitive. If your thing is to follow the fools after their money, go ahead. That job is usually taken up by the...

    No More Traditional Brokers

Why even pay attention to a RACKET like this? Cheap site that crashed my computer as soon as I accessed it. Seems like there's a con man on every corner you turn , nowadays. Not much different from the times of Jesse Livermore, I guess.
