    Any experience with MemTurbo?

Oh and when you read these type of reviews best to just look at the negative ones, they normally tell you more.

    Any experience with MemTurbo?

Cat They promise a lot but usually deliver very little. Best bet with RAM so cheap is to install more. Go to www.cnet.com and read the reviews, you'll see what I mean.

freaking funny, news sites/analysts can't keep up

Reminds me of when I nearly crashed my car driving backfrom work one night. Must of been back in 1998 when Wall street was very volatile. The market was say down 300 at one point but was moving all over the shop. Anyway on the radio news they reported the massive selloff etc and then said now...

    New Bull Market

KavMan Just staying flexible and trying to trade what I see. And right now I don't see many short opportunites, only a load of traps being set. Short term traps for the shorts and longer term ones for the longs. BY the way, hope you make lots of money on the short side, I'll be watching.

    New Bull Market

The guy who started this thread may well be smoking crack but I now feel that he might upgrade to showbiz sherbet by the time xmas comes. I've just been checking my charts and I get the feeling that's there's still many bids below for a lot of these busted out stocks. The pros I'd bet...

    Todd Harrison is writing again

Harrison's writing style and all his creatures give me the illusion that all is not normal in his head. In fact the whole site gives me that impression.

    Any MONGOMATH traders here?

Ah, but can you hit a hole in one?

    IB Tracing Ip Address

As far as the Inland Revenue is concerned in the UK it doesn't really matter where the trades are actually done from, but where the actual trader is located. You can have all the offshore servers/brokers you want but if they state you were calling the shots from within the UK then you're in...

    New Bull Market

Well, bull or not I'm buying long dated puts and ratio spreads on QQQ, CSCO, SMH, AOL, JPM, IBM and FNM. I've been buying small for the last 2 weeks and will continue to do so on market rallies. Personally I think the bulls will have even fatter turkeys for xmas than they did on Thanksgiving...

    Mentors

To me a mentor is someone who's wise, has been around the block a few times, and has the acount balance to prove it. The guy who blew up on one trade after suffereing a couple of bad weeks is about as far away as a mentor that one can get. Perhaps an anti-mentor.

    FFASTFILL Lower than IB??

Silverware I don't know what IB's rates are on the mini versus the big one but I'd assume you're right in suggesting that trading one big one would be cheaper. But by how much $1-$2? This amount is not going to cause anyone a problem. However I'd advise you to trade 2 minis over one...

    Best Exchange?

If you don't have volume and open interest figures then go and get them from the websites on the Exchanges. This will then answer all your questions.

Value of Smart Order routing at IB

TA I'm with PXG here, how do you set TMBR as the preferred route? Does SMART automatically route to TMBR because if it does you say if you use SMART then it might go down to the NYSE 'and good luck there'. I know you know what's going on, it's just there's some confusion here. CB

    One Chicago SSF Busts

The reason why SSF have failed on LIFFE is because in Europe they have CFDs (contracts for Difference), basically trading on 5 and 10-1 margin, with the liquidity coming straight from the cash market. Basically if I buy 10,000 Vodafone at £1.00 the CFD broker will trade for me on the cash...

    ESTX50 hours EST?

Trader3 I'm not necessarily having a go at you, but if you have the intelligence or knowledge to trade the markets successfully then you should for yourself be able to find the time difference between any zone in the world, let alone the major European one. In future why don't you just...

    Outlier Events

Man I think the key to your type of analysis is to trade with some kind of 'market context'. By that I mean don't look at every example as the same. For example look at AOL. In september prices went here and there, a fair bit of randomness, but then 10/24 onwards there was a lot of...

    Remote trading in Brazil

[What EXACTLY do you mean by more European/American-like people? [/B] Surely those with European backgrounds etc, rather than indigenous South Americans. A lot of Brazilians with German backgrounds.

    remote viewing in USA

Well I think there's certainly something in remote viewing, I've know about it for many years. However for the markets, no way. These guys tend to shoot themselves in the foot when they talk about what they do. There was a big article a few weeks back in one of the UK Sunday papers on 2...
